Dr. Jeffrey Schmidt

I’m very grateful to Dr. Schmidt and his staff. My surgery results are amazing, and I received excellent post-op care.

I had a consult with Dr. Schmidt and scheduled a surgery for the following week, they were wide open for appointments. My sibling was in a terrible car accident in Texas the week of my surgery and on life support and fighting for his life. I explained that I had to fly home and would not make my surgery. They were pressuring me to get back to them as to when I could reschedule (priorities of course). I was in the midst of managing a major family tragedy. The following week I was able to connect with Megan at Dr. Schmidts office to explain that I was going to have to move back home to Texas for an undetermined period of time. I asked for my deposit back, as I was inuring sudden unexpected costs due to this terrible incident and wasn't sure when or if I'd be moving back any time soon. They refused. I offered to get them proof of my last minute flight. They asked or copies of his medical records as "proof" which of course per HIPPA I could not provide and also how inappropriate. … I asked if they would like pictures of him on life support. It's so sad that this is the ethics of these people. They said it was policy and they would not refund even a portion of it. Don't do business with these people, they don't care about you...they just care about the many thousands of dollars you'll give them to support their fancy life styles. I am in the medical field as well and we would never treat our clients this way. Also, they refused to discuss potential complications of the surgery until my pre-op appointment...makes you wonder about their over all ethics.

I am a nurse who went in for a submental liposuction. Jeffery Schmidt suggested “contouring” my face as well. He destroyed my lower face by doing aggressive liposuction to more than half my lower face in an attempt (I am guessing) to make my cheekbones stand out? Horrible judgment. I have been to and called numerous local and nationally known plastic surgeons in an attempt to revise this. They have ALL said that this is an ill-advised procedure (facial liposuction) which they would never have recommended or done. Restoring volume from the face reverses aging, not removing volume. In addition, I am assymetric, have dents, hollows and look skeletal in the lower face. I had prior had a round face. As a nurse I can tell you he in no way informed me of what he was going to do. He said the word “contour” and never informed me of the extent and aggressive nature of his plan. I look horrible, botched and my face is ruined. He has been defensive, gaslighting, made excuses for his decision. He… blamed me for being “too old” for my skin to recover, stated he did a fellowship from a renowned doctor for facial liposuction (no good doctor even does this), said I just looked like I lost 30-40 lbs (did he tell me or ask me if I wanted to look skeletal?? No. ). Dr Schmidt chose to do his own idea of beauty on my face without my foreknowledge. This makes him the worst kind of surgeon. The kind that decides to play God. Patient autonomy, beneficence (first do no harm), informed consent (truly informed, not just signing a pile of papers) ; these principles are what makes a good physician. Jeffery Schmidt is the worst sort of physician that chose something for me that hurt me and that I would never have consented to. I have been a ICU nurse for over 20 years and I strongly suggest anyone reading this stay far away from this doctor.

I have suffered from hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating) for most of my adult life. In conducting research about treatment, I read that Botox applications to the area could reduce excessive sweating. I spoke with Dr. Schmidt about the procedure and finally decided to pull the trigger. He was compassionate, accommodating and knowledgeable. The treatment was a tremendous success and, in truth, life changing. My dress shirts and I thank Dr. Schmidt for this procedure and the incredible way in which he performed it. Highly, highly recommended!

My wife had two warts removed, one on her cheek and one on her upper lip. Dr. Schmidt did the procedure perfectly. No scars were left and now she doesn't even remember where the warts were. Dr. Schmidt's explanation of the procedure and his work ethic were very professional. She is extremely pleased with her results. She has also had ongoing Botox injections to reduce the wrinkles in her face, making her feel more confident about her physical appearance. She highly recommends Dr. Schmidt for his counselling prior to a treatment, knowledge of the treatment and his sincere way of handling his patient's well-being, both during and after the treatment.

Dr. Jeffery Schmidt is not my physician; however while I was a patient at Mass General Hospital, Dr Schmidt exhibited great concern for my diagnosis, treatment and care. He effectively communicated via phone with my team of MGH doctors, presenting possible medical issues, which the MGH doctors pursued. Dr. Schmidt's follow up with me is a testimony to his strong attributes of detail, concern and compassion for the overall health of a fellow human being, patient or not. I would be very comfortable and confident under the medical care of Dr. Schmidt; fortunate/blessed are those that are!

Dr. Schmidt did my cancer surgery for my nose. It was called a flap. My face was a mess after he did his surgery. It started looking fair. But, when he was done with all of the treatments my face looked like new. He is a really awesome doctor and excellent at what he does, I would tell everyone to use him.

Dr. Schmidt did a solid job of removing a benign growth (bump) on my temple. He and his assistant/receptionist addressed my questions and concerns throughout the process and were always pleasant. The whole process required several visits, but each one was rather time efficient. I was prepared for the residual numbness above the incision area (which has since improved) as we had discussed this and other possible side effects/complications prior. Several months later I still have no pain or issues, and am very happy with the results.

At 37, I had a large spot on my nose removed due to basal cell carcinoma. After having Mohs surgery, they removed much more skin, tissue, and cartilage then I could have imagined. Lessoned learned, go to the doctor, don't wait! I was really freaked out during my initial appointment considering that I may never look the same again. I freaked out and cried in the doctors office and they handled me and my fears very well. But the best thing, is that Dr. Schmidt performed fantastic surgery on my nose and was able to use the cartilage from the back of my ear to rebuild my nose tissue. I only had one surgery and it turned out great. You can't even tell I had a surgery or cancer or anything. I have told lots of people what I went through with cancer, but no one can even tell... so I don't anymore. It's a scary thing when you are going through it. Dr. Schmidt and Michelle were both awesome through the entire process. Dr. Schmidt is a perfectionist. I am lucky that my… dermatologist sent me to him. I have a new respect for doctors and what they do with their talents and all the many ways they save people. =)

I had my left nostril bitten off by a small dog while helping an elderly neighbor the day before Thanksgiving, 2015. Dr. Schmidt was contacted by emergency personnel and agreed to see me late that same day and take me as a patient. He scheduled me for the 1st surgery the day after Thanksgiving and I have had 2 more surgeries performed by him since then. My nose looks great and people can't tell that anything happened. Dr. Schmidt runs a very professional office and is very thorough in his presentation of what needs to be done in order to have a good outcome after surgery. I appreciate the time he has spent with me, and his compassion for patient care. I also appreciate the time he spent explaining the importance of the surgery to the insurance company's doctors.
