Dr. Peter James Mcguire, MD

My terrible experience with Dr. McGuire at Aspen Ridge ENT. DO NOT SEE THIS SO CALLED DOCTOR! My interaction with him was nothing short of a nightmare. I went in for a septoplasty to address some breathing issues I had been facing. However, the outcome was far from what was promised. Instead of improving my condition, the surgery left my nose deformed, sporting a new unsightly bump and a crooked septum. What's worse, I now have additional breathing issues on the left side of my nose, making the entire ordeal feel like a horrible mistake. Completely botched surgery by someone who clearly has no clue what they are doing when operating on a patient. But the real horror show began when I tried to address these issues with Dr. McGuire himself. Instead of showing any semblance of professionalism or empathy, he chose to berate me, yelling and belittling me with complex anatomical/medical field jargon that would baffle most people, medical field or not. It was as if he was more interested in… flaunting his supposed expertise than actually helping a suffering patient. It is so blatantly obvious how deceptive Dr. McGuire is and how he absolutely refuses to look at his own mistakes. To add insult to injury, Dr. McGuire conveniently "forgot" to mention a turbinate reduction procedure. Incredibly unprofessional to not include this in discussion prior to surgery. It's clear that his arrogance, narcissism, and outright deceitfulness make him utterly unfit to practice medicine. Even when a second opinion from Dr. Mawn, within the same office, validated my concerns, the hospital and office flat out refused to acknowledge their mistake or offer any solutions. Dr. Mawn himself admitted that the surgery was a disaster, with my septum shifted way too far to the left, effectively closing off my left nostril by 15-20%. I believe Dr. Mawn's very words were, "this is absolutely no home run". How embarrassing for Dr. McGuire. In the end, I'm left not only with a disfigured nose and compromised breathing but also with a profound sense of betrayal by the very people who were supposed to help me. Hippocratic oath seems to be a joke to all involved, except for Dr. Mawn, at least he is truthful. Stay away from Dr. McGuire and Aspen Ridge ENT if you value your health and well-being. They care more about protecting their egos than fixing their mistakes.
