Dr. Jeffrey Stephen Schweitzer, MD

I highly recommend Jeffrey Schweitzer, MD, PhD for trigeminal neuralgia procedures. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything in clear, user-friendly terms. He carefully reviewed both the benefits and risks of the procedure and gave me plenty of time to think through my decision and ask questions. What stood out most to me, however, was his compassion and attentiveness. I have an autoimmune condition, and the medication originally prescribed for my TN was negatively impacting my mobility—even though it relieved my pain. That became an unacceptable trade-off for me. After my procedure, I shared these concerns with Dr. Schweitzer. He responded, “That’s not a good trade-off. Let’s get you back to your baseline.” That moment meant a great deal to me. I felt heard, understood, and supported. It was emotional, and I was truly grateful that he took the time to listen and prioritize my overall well-being. I’m happy to say that I am now back to my… baseline. I remain very grateful that our paths crossed.

I feel Dr. Schweitzer is truly a wonderful surgeon. I needed DBS surgery and quite frankly was somewhat hesitate, however, he put me at ease and the time with me to explain everything thoroughly.

This was my very first surgery and Dr. Schweitzer took all of the fear out of it. Everything was explained in great detail and with great empathy for my needs. Dr. Schweitzer did a thorough examination and provided visuals on why I need a micro-discectomy. On the day of the surgery he was by my bedside to go over everything again with me. He was very cheerful and put me in a cheerful state as well. I can't believe that I actually enjoyed the whole experience -- there was nothing to worry about and it was a great experience.

Unless youwant a Doctor who does'nt care, answer questions, insinuate past medical history and NOT provide pain management or even ask about your pain, then you might like him. I think his motivation and empathy has already retired. As for the office staff... be preparedto walk all your documents in and have to make your appts in person :(

I got deep brain stimulation brain surgery from this dr. and he messed it up i cannot hardly use my left hand and my muscles in my left arm get very tight and its very painful this doctor sucks!!!!!!

He is unapproachable. He treated my husband terribly and was rude to me. I wouldn't send my dog to him.

Jeffery made my experience as good as it could have been under the circumstances. I was very thankful to have had him as my surgeon have referred a friend or two to him for the great job he did on me THANKS DR.

Dr Schweitzer is someone who knows what he is doing as befits someone of his background. He responds promptly and is very thorough.

Some of the comments are really unfair. Dr. Schweitzer is an extremely skillful and knowledgeable surgeon, one of the best in the country.
