Dr. Jeffrey Adam Steiner, MD

I first contacted this office of 08/20/2024, hoping to schedule an appointment, per my PCP’s referral. I’m a quadriplegic and have been struggling with gastric issues for some time. I spoke with a very short (borderline rude) person, by the name of Eli, who asked if I’d seen any gastroenterologists in the past. I was naively honest and told her that I had, but well over a year ago (turned out to be 2 years); I explained that I’d been misdiagnosed with a huge hiatal hernia, which was later proved wrong, there was no hernia, and clarified that that was not the reason for my referral. She ignored this explanation and told me that no appointment could be scheduled until all test results were faxed over to her. I contacted my PCP, and they faxed over the endoscopy (performed in April 2022), as well was a GI imaging disproving the alleged hernia from the endoscopy (performed in April 2023). I then received a voicemail on 08/26/2024 (over TWO years from seeing the gastroenterologist who… misdiagnosed me) stating that their specialist, Dr. Jeffrey Steiner, would not see me due to my “recent” care by another gastroenterologist. I guess if you want to see this “doctor”, you must either lie about any previous care, or only suffer from heartburn and need some Pepcid, as my conclusion is that this specialist is not qualified to handle actual gastric issues… What better way to avoid the embarrassment than discriminate against potential patients under a poor filter of not seeing anyone who’s seen a gastroenterologist prior to him? Word of advice to your office: Don’t waste people’s time, grow some courage and outright say “we don’t want your business” on the initial interaction… Or better yet, get some training so you don’t have to turn away people that have chronic health issues, though that’d require caring on the physician’s side. Word of advice to anyone considering the office: run away. If this is how they react to a person with chronic health issues, then I cannot imagine trusting my health to such unprepared “physicians.”

Dr. Steiner is very professional, kind, caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, experienced and he listened! Highly recommend . Great doctor !

I recently had a colonoscopy with Dr. Jeffrey Steiner at the Walnut Creek Medical Center. The Center is beautiful and his entire staff was very experienced and highly professional. My previous colonoscopy was done at a hospital and it probably lasted about 5 hours, this time I was in and out in a little over an hour. I found Dr. Steiner to be very kind and caring and spent time answering all my questions. I would highly recommend him.

I called to schedule an appointment by leaving a message on the answering service. I received a call back within 20 minutes and made my appointment for the very next week. I got to my appointment on time and after signing in and showing my license and insurance ard, I was called into the room with a nurse. This couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes after checking in. I provided all information to the nurse and within 5 minutes, Dr. Steiner came in, introduced himself and reviewed my chart and discussed my option/procedures. I then waited another 5 minutes and scheduled my procedure the very next week. The office called in my prescriptions and will get my referral. Now, this is the way to run a professional office. Thank you to everyone at Dr. Steiner's office for an amazing experience.

Called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was impatient and rude. Said I missed 3 appointments in the past that they never notified me of, then she agreed to take the appointment but then hung up because she was frustrated. Called back spoke with a higher authority in hope to just schedule an appointment and she decided to plead the case of her rude co-worker then she began to argue with me. I told her numerous times i just wanted an appointment and she insisted on telling me what her co-worker didnt do wrong so i just told her nevermind ill find another doctor. had to have been the worse customer service experience ever, felt like i was being jumped over the phone...but i wonder if the practicing doctors are aware of this unexceptional behavior in business because they would be the ones losing out at the end of the day not the staff.

Least caring doctor I have ever met. Does not care about elderly patients. Never returns calls. Will never use again or refer anyone else to this doctor

He is without a doubt the LEAST caring dr. I have ever dealt with in my 89 years!He stood at the door and without looking at me or giving me any exam decided that my rectal bleeding was not due to any GI problems and told me to see my oncologist . I can only assume he had X-ray vision and could see inside me! And he was 100% wrong!
