Dr.Strain is an excellent doctor. Very confident in what he does. Made me feel super comfortable at his office.

I used Dr. Strain for a gastric sleeve a few years ago. Everything went well. However, please read on because I believe most of you would not appreciate what I have gone through. I have 2 specific comments that made me give him and his office the lowest rating of all my doctors. 1. I had a radiology test to see if I needed an upper GI and I called for the results. I was told I could not get results on the phone and had to come in. Dr. Strain spent 1 minute with me to tell me I had to go see another doctor for an endoscopy. That was all. For this I was charged a copay and office visit not to mention the time I took off from work due to their limited office hours. Every other doctor I work with would have done this by phone and not wasted my time or money. 2. I have had excessive acid for 4-6 months. For the last 2 weeks my pharmacy and I have placed 6 requests to the office to renew the prescription needed for this condition and for some reason they are incapable of renewing it… even though the doctor specifically told me to continue. Do I have to see another doctor to get my medication renewed? The pharmacy has not rec'd any response even though I also gave the doctor's office the telephone number. I finally got through again today to the office manager who tells me that the prescription must be called in by my primary doctor, not Dr. Strain even though he was the one that prescribed it to me in the first place. I am already getting loaner pills from the pharmacy and now they tell me I have to get the prescriptions from my primary even though he has been seeing me for the last 4 months for this same problem. I can only get a prescription if I come into the doctor to see him. Guess what -- another copay all to get a prescription. Guess I will find another gastro-intestinal doctor. Wish they had told me the rules up front.

I was going to many different doctors and finally my cardiologist recommended Dr. Strain.

I came into the office and was seen by the doctor within 10 minutes. He was clear and to the point. Didn’t waste my time!

My daughter died under this Drs care. She had bariatric surgery and her complaints of severe excruciating pain were ignored. She was sent home from the hospital and died of peritonitis 3 days later after being rushed to the ER and being pronounced brain dead. Her abdomen was so distended she looked as if she were 9 months pregnant with twins. She had complained of not being able to breath and having constant unbearable pain.

God is this guy awful. Appt was scheduled for a double Hernia operation then I hear he had be an expert witness at a trial. I had to wait three weeks before I could finally get relief from this problem. I'm just another body to him & he could care less about how this patient was made to feel. He spent so little time with me, I couldn't pick him out of a lineup if I tried!

I don't recommendate this doctor at all.

I saw him b/c I ended up in the ER with a hernia. They gave me an appointment fairly quickly. He was a good doctor, but the staff was SO unprofessional (gave me attitude on the phone) and his nurse is just totally obnoxious and rude! I will not be going back just based on how his nurse treated me.

was having on and off pain that no one could find. he found it with good testing and fixed it with surgery. very impressed
