Dr. Jeffrey Dodd Thompson, MD

Worked with Dr. Thompson for many years. Miss him! He was a kind and intelligent MD who specialized in medications. Sincerely hope his life is perfect for him now.

This man needs to change proffessions. He doesn't listen and he doesn't really pay attention to what he has done. It has really put my whole life in jeopardy. The kicker is when he threatened to not refill my meds when I explained I couldn't come in to see him until I got my insurance corrected, thank goodness my regular care physician had no problem picking up my the slack in meds. Ive had some bad "Dr. 's" in my life but he is really one of the worse.

He should have retired years ago!!! He is abrupt, doesn't care what you think or feel, makes quick, inaccurate assumptions, and has no recall of patient's prior appointment so an appointment is torture. If you need a quick prescription for anxiety or depression, he is happy to take your money and write scripts like he works for a drug company, but if you want a caring therapist who can diagnose and treat your condition, seek a doctor elsewhere. I did and I'm thrilled I left!

He diagnosed me at the intake appointment (the follow up's are literally 10 minute "in and out now here are some pills" sessions - if you can call them that), which leave me feeling rushed and poorly tended to. He seems to get frustrated by any question I ask and is quick to cut me off. All in all the absolutely terrible bedside manner and his abruptness makes me rather uncertain of his diagnosis/abilities.

Dr. Thompson is one of my favorites out of my 7 doctors, he is very carring, and not just concerned with my mental health at this time but my health as a whole which is critical but right now is being maintained well by Dr. Thompson and my other Dr.s.

I went to Dr. Thompson for two appts. for depression and was very disappointed with him. He misdiaganosed me and wanted to use the wrond type of meds on me. Not only is he in his 70's and antiquated in his methods of pychiatry, he's also a pill pusher and is also hard of hearing. Do not put your mental health care in the hands of a someone who should have retired years ago. He does more harm than good.

To begin with all the negative then I will tell you why you want to be his Patient. Dr isn't warm and fuzzy. He isn't very patient when he wants answers to his questions. I personally feel he hates blubbering and crying, then again who really does. If you have emotional responses tell him, let him know you are overwhelmed by your situation he will understand. He isn't heartless he is trying to get through all the crap we bring with us. YOU NEED HIM because this is his specialty and he is very good at his job. He helped me through several years of medication intolerances to find what continues to work for me. He doesn't make me feel like an idiot if a medication works for most of his patients but not for me. He understands I have lived with my issues all my life and having a hard time adjusting to these diagnoses. Don't be afraid of seeing Dr. Thompson, having mental health issues should never be ignored as it affects every part of your health overall. Take this from someone who waited… over 40 years to seek help

Dr. Thompson is professional and results oriented as well as direct and insightful. He is not warm and fuzzy, nor is he unkind. He is hard of hearing though, so speak up or it may seem as if he's questioning your answers when all he really wants to know is what you actually said. His office staff reflects his professional demeanor, but they hear just find and will work with you if you have any questions or issues and get you answers promptly.

Dr. Jeffery Thompson was my doctor for 7 months. When I got my records his wrote that I was psychotic and delussional because I was reporting other incompetent doctors to the state medical board. He purposfully lied and misdiagnosed me and skeded my information to discredit me to protect himself and his collegues. As evil a doctor as there can be. One of the worst doctors I have ever incountered. He also uses oxytocin with his patients without patient knowledge and consent. No ethics at all. Protect yourself by staying away from him! He's evil!
