Dr. Jeffry James Young, DO

Condescending and Can’t accept parent input. Misdiagnosed 2 of my children when they actually had very serious illnesses. He caused my daughter unneeded pain and stress and a 9 days hospital stay. My son was misdiagnosed with “a virus”. I brought him in to see another doctor the Very next day and he was diagnosed with complications from the illness I suspected the day prior.

Dr young is an excellent pediatrician that is a great resource for us as parents on our children's wellbeing. He always finds a way to set them at ease in the office and isn't one bit affected by unhappy kids.

I cannot stress enough how amazing Dr.Young is. When my son got the flu, he was willing to drive to the pharmacy to pick up his medicine and bring it to us! He called frequently to find out how he was doing and is so great with our son. He never pressures any shots that you may not want to give your kid and is also very up front with if he thinks Shota are 100% necessary or not.

This doctor neglected to test my child's needs and my wishes. He ignored any problems or concerns I had for my child. I have been telling this doctor that my child was underweight since he was six months old and now at the age of two he officially wants to watch his weight and schedule appointments every four weeks. I am a young mother and for it to be addressed this late looks bad on my part, which does make me angry since I am the one to point out the problem a year in at advance. He took me for a uneducated young mother who is a hypochondriac when I am an LPN who is still currently going to school to become a nurse. He needs to also keep an open mind and an unbiased opinion. I also brought up the fact that my child does not go to sleep and stays up for atleast 48 hours a time. He gave me a list of methods to put him to sleep and after numerous attempts, they all failed. Then after I told him of the failed attempts he told me he does not believe in sleep disorders in babies. So… doctor what could it be then?!!!!

My daughter's love Dr. Young and so do I. He has been their pediatrician for the past 12 years and has helped us navigate some serious health concerns along the way . He is knowledgeable, mindful in the use of antibiotics, thorough, and open minded. Dr. Young is a great listener and he relates well to kids of all ages and parents like me who like to ask a lot of questions. We wish our other doctors were exactly like him - this quality of care and positive relationship is rare and very much appreciated.

(First time parents here) First, Dr. Young is not my 5-week-old son's normal pediatrician. He was the only doctor available on this particular Monday morning. My son had a sore on his bum that got progressively worse over the weekend and we wanted an appointment for right away in the morning. His regular ped was off for the day. We got in and Dr. Young was very polite and very informative. We (Hubby and I) learned how to care for his ulcer/wound appropriately, learned we didn't do anything wrong, and all our questions were answered respectfully and completely. We felt very relieved and confident when we left. What more could you ask for? I will not hesitate to see Dr. Young again. Thanks Doc! (Didn't select "accurate diagnosis" since the wound hasn't healed yet, only been a day.)

This so called pediatrician refused to see my 11 year old daughter for a Saturday appointment because he deemed that her situation was not emergent enough to be seen on Saturday during extended clinic hours. I had made an appointment for my 11 year old daughter who had hard times walking and complaining of pain in her left plantar surface on Friday when she told me about it after recently had a 3 day camp over at YMCA. I have identified it as possibly two plantar warts and made an appointment for Saturday afternoon with this doctor to freeze them off. I am a single mother and work full time from 8 to 5 during the week and never take my children to ER unless it is a broken bone or 104 persistent fever. And yes I carry full insurance on them and do not receive any assistance from the state or anyone else. I work as a geriatric RN. On Friday late morning I have received a call from his office stating that he himself cancelled my daughter's appointment as he did not think she needed to be… seen on Saturday, to him her distress was not important or emergent enough. I will not recommend neither will I ever take my children to this Socialized Medicine Provider. Hope you are happy you freed up time for your Golf outing Dr. Young!
