Dr. Jennifer Moldovan Ayscue, MD

A true professional who has long experience. I consider myself lucky that i found her and she performed my surgery with great expertise. I would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve had several procedures performed by this provider at Medstar. All of them have went smoothly. Recently, the administrative office contacted me to let me know there was problem with a payment from 2 years ago! This didn’t make any sense bc my insurance was fully active at that time and I’ve had procedsures since then using the same insurance. I was Confused as to why no one contacted me earlier and why they would continue to see me and perform procedures. Also, it didn’t make sense that all of the other procedures were paid for and not this one if all the procedures were the same and the insurance was the same. The person I originally Spoke with acknowledged this didn’t make sense and felt there had been an error. Later, I was Contacted I told I needed To pay the full amount totaling a large sum. The administrative staff was rude and made several statements that were definitely micro aggressions and negative assumptions about my social economic status. I tried to rectify the… situation and see how it could be fixed and the staff person was unwilling to work with me or give me any helpful information. The result is that the office forwarded the debt to a law firm for collections. I found the administrative practice to be incompetent and the process to be extremely unprofessional. This isn’t patient friendly and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I recommend Going somewhere more organized bc you while the provider is great, no one wants to have to worry about getting a bill years later bc the staff doesn’t know how to properly bill and code.

After I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer I was an emotional mess. First surgeon I saw was horrible and basically left me thinking my days were numbered. I found Dr. Ayscue and feel blessed. She had a wonderful bedside manner and treated me like a person and not just a patient. I am currently NED thanks to her. Also she had her staff look at my scans and they detected a tumor on my liver that was cancer whereas the original radiologist wasn't overly concerned and wanted to just wait 3 months to scan again. Because of her care I was able to have that spot removed with microwave ablation. If I had waited 3 months I may not have been able to have that done. Love her!

I am exceptionally pleased with the treatment I received from Dr. Ayscue and her staff. I particularly admired her matter-of -fact approach, combined with a sense of deep concern. I feel she was very thorough in her approach when dealing with my particular circumstance, and I am grateful for the care I received. I highly recommend Dr. Ascyue for anyone who may be searching for a surgeon in her field of expertise.

Dr. Ayscue performed surgery on me recently. Every aspect from pre-op to post-op was handle in a manner in which I am very grateful. The Doctor's staff is very professional and answered any questions with ease. Thank you for all the care and understanding during my visits and stay in Washington Hospital Center.

Dr. Ayscue took time to look at my MRI results and come up with what I believe is the key to my persistent and worsening bowel condition that started in 2003 and caused me to miss out on most of my 30's. After seeing GIs and surgeons, in Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, and New York and being dismissed and condemned to live life as a hermit , Dr. Ayscue recommended me to look at my fibroids as a possible cause of my issues. These fibroids have shown up multiple times but no other doctor even thought to have me treat them. I can only imagine all the damage done as my my mom and both aunts have hysterectomies and my sister has severe symptoms from hers as well. She took the time to call back personally and discuss her thoughts and what I should do next, not like other doctors. I felt like she at least cared enough not to dismiss me which at this point I consider exceptional care.

Dr. Ayescue is one of the most experienced and efficient rectal surgeons in the field. At the day of surgery I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and how much they cared about each patient. What reassured me most was her reputation for the least amount of complications in her work. The surgery was highly successful and I recovered quickly with far less pain than I had imagined. After suffering for two years, she gave me my health back and I am very grateful for her surgical skills and talent. When your butt is on the line, you want to go to the best.

My care from Dr Ayscue and her staff was excellent. After weeks of complications, Dr Ayscue quickly diagnosed my problem and had the answer for a quick repair and I instantly felt better after she preformed the procedure. I am very greatful.

I would never recommend Dr. Ayscue. I have yet to be diagnosed because I have been waiting two months for her office to give an authorization for an MRI. Dr. Ayscue's bedside manner was fine the first time I met with her and poor and abrasive the second time. She spoke to me like I was a three year old child who needed to be punished. She once returned a call from me (she is very good about returning calls, her staff doesn't seem to be), and when I greeting her over the phone with a how are you, she replied "you actually called me" in a curt manner. She is very rude and does not seem to have the passion or the drive to be a doctor. I think the fact alone that she has patients who hold er accountable is irritating. I hope that her poor practice of medicine does not have a cost on my health. It is called "practicing medicine" so I do not in any way recommend a doctor who refuses to push herself and seems content in being a mediocre contributor to the world of medicine.

Dr. Ayscue may be a good doctor for those with common ailments that are easily diagnosed. I have IBS and it was clear that she had no patience dealing with treating something that required a little more brainwork. She was abrupt, and borderline rude in shuffling me out of the office. She provided very little help and I won't be returning to her office. A bit of advice for Dr. Ayscue: When a medical condition stumps you, show compassion rather than dismissal.
