she's great, highly recommended!

Dr. Balucan was seemed nice on our first visit, but every visit after that we felt extremely rushed and she was not very good with our daughter. She was basically out the door as we were asking her questions. She did not follow up with one of my daughter's conditions at our next appointment. When we were told to start on solids, we asked for a little more guidance, and we were told to just follow directions on the box of rice cereal. There was no detail provided on how much to feed our daughter at first, when to change foods, etc. When speaking to other first time moms, I realized that their doctors were much more thorough and always made them feel comfortable asking more questions (not rushed). As a result, I had to switch doctors. On the upside - the nurses are very sweet.

Dr, Balucan is great! She is so personable and easy to talk to. She never rushes her patients and allows plenty of time to answer all questions. She remembers even the smallest details about my two daughters, even if she hasn't seen them in awhile. Being a mom herself, she understands how to ease a worried parent. The staff at UCLA Manhattan Beach is nice, too. It's very rare that I had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen, although it has happened once or twice. Parking is plentiful and is free - which is a bonus for those on the westside :)
