Dr. Jennifer Gerlach was born and raised in Hudson, Ohio. She graduated from Hudson High School and then completed her undergraduate education at Baldwin Wallace College in Cleveland, Ohio. There she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While in college she received a scholarship to play tennis and was GTE Academic All-American, OAC 1st singles and 1st doubles champion, and was ranked #4 in the Midwest. After college she received her medical degree at Wright State School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and was awarded the William D. Sawyer, MD scholarship in 2001 for community service. She completed her Pediatric Residency Training at Columbus Childrenâ€™s Hospital/ The Ohio State University.

Dr. Gerlach is married to Dr. Jason Sherman, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, who is working at Southwest Spine and Sports in Scottsdale. Together they enjoy hiking, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family. They look forward to settling into Arizona …and making it their new home.

Dr. Gerlach is thorough, takes her time, makes smart and practical recommendations, and has a very caring and kind bedside manner. We couldn't ask for more!

I have 5 year old twins that have been going to Dr. Gerlach since they were born. We love her! She has a wonderful upbeat bedside manner that puts my kids at ease. She has always been very informative and we will continue to see her until the kids are adults. On occasion we have seen other doctors in the practice and they have also been very good.

Dr. Gerlach is exceptional. She cared for my son 5 years ago during her residency at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was in the NICU for 2 months. The impact she made on our family is something I could never express in words. I wish we lived in Arizona! You are so lucky to have such a compassionate doctor!

Dr Gerlach has excellent bedside manner, is friendly and really cares about her patients. When my child was I'll with pneumonia, she went out of her way to ease his hospital admission and called during his stay to check on him. Incredible doctor.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Gerlach's since the day she was born 9 months ago. I love Dr. Gerlach, she is patient, caring, honest and very knowledgeable. She will be my daughter's doc until she is too old to be treated by a pediatrician.
