Dr. Jennifer Darleen Garate

Extremely concerning billing practices and false documentation. We arrived late for an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Darleen Garate and were not seen by the nurse practitioner. No exam, no consultation, no medical service was provided. We still paid for the missed appointment, which we accepted. However, 3 months later we were charged an additional ~$1,200 for that same date, with billing claiming that we were “seen,” marked only as “late.” This is factually incorrect. There was no visit. We canceled all future appointments that day, and later received a call encouraging us to continue care — which would make no sense if we had already been seen. We have spent over two hours on the phone, being transferred repeatedly, unable to reach anyone who can correct the record or explain how a visit was documented when none occurred. This situation is deeply distressing and undermines trust. We are asking for a review of the chart, correction of the false visit entry, and removal of the… improper charge. Patients deserve accurate records and transparent billing.
