Dr. Jennifer Kathryn Hartel, MD

Dr. Jennifer Hartel was very proficient and supportive in walking me through the process of cataract surgery. After a thorough review of my condition and history, Dr. Hartel made recommendations on the type of lenses that would best meet my lifestyle needs. After the first surgery, she gave me the opportunity to try monovision (reading with one using a contact, distance with the other via cataract surgery). I found that although I had tried monovision in the past, my current preference was for distance vision in both. Dr. Hartel performed cataract surgery on the second eye as well. I am now two weeks out from the second surgery. I find that my distance vision is very acceptable, that I can use my computer without the use of glasses, and require reading glasses for only small print. I am very pleased with the results. I found Dr. Hartel to be professional, personable, and proficient in every aspect of the process. Her ability to talk openly about options and to help me to… decide which outcome best suited me, made for a very satisfying experience. I can heartily recommend her as a preferred Dr. of ophthalmology.
