She didnt listen to me or my daughter, who deals with the same allergens every year. She knew we were in office to get a steroid shot and verify we weren't unknowingly dealing with strep, as that has happened. She knew we did NOT want antibiotics being thrown at a nonbacterial infection. Strep test came back negative. Then, she proceeded to speak down to me as though I dont know my 17 year olds history and what does and doesn't work for her. She did NOT meet us where we were. And when I told her my daughter has done better in years prior with a steroid shot over pills, she proceeded to write a Rx for antibiotics and steroids, not giving her a shot, and walking out of the room. … This is what is wrong with modern medicine. She has no proof of a bacterial infection, yet was given antibiotics. If you boastfully proclaim that you listen to patients and meet them "where they are," then do it, Jennifer.
