I took my Grandson in to see Dr. Jackson for Social Security. My impression of her was very good. She was very patient and made sure the answers were completed for the SS form. I liked the way she interacted with my Grandson, making him feel secure answering her questions. I would have no problem recommending her to anyone needing a psychologist.

She must be the absolute WORST excuse for a "Psychologist" I have ever been to. I have severe PTSD related to repeated, lifelong traumas, and was referred to her. I wish Mobilians were more proactive in utilizing the internet reviewing services, as I can find hardly any on any on really any subject/service in Mobile At least a review would have helped to make a more educated decision in accepting this referral, so for the rest of you here is my review in. Having just moved here to Mobile, and relocating being another stress inducing event, I needed/was summoned to her The experience was like talking to an extremely vacuous, couldn't-care-less wall. She made me relate the numerous trauma inducing events, which only served to blow open my "Pandora's Box" of trauma, to which I only saw her writing down in my file the incidents that were COMPLETELY out of context & irrelevant to my PTSD. For example, she wanted to know who I dated, and if they were wealthy she asked why they didn't give me… money???? To that I was forced to defend myself (!!) by telling her I was a highly educated professional/executive (in a big city FAR away from Alabama), and I didn't take money from him because I wasn't WH*RE!? Can you imagine? This is the sort of "Professional" Miss Jackson is. I do not know where she went to college, but I have no familiarity with this theory of clinical psychology. If her unprofessionalism wasn't enough I felt extremely pressured for time and her irrelevant questions only made me feel MORE nervous, upset, and naturally, confused. After a short time she just stood up and showed me out. One of PTSDs main features is the inability to STOP remembering & stop re-living the emotion of these events. Thanks solely to her, whatever her cavalier approach to real mental health issues are, I am now neck deep in nightmares again.
