Dr. Jennifer L Lapeyrolerie, MD

I've been with Dr. Lap for over three years now and have finally decided to find another doctor after persistently poor organization, scheduling, bedside manner and more. My wait time was routinely over 2 hours. On more the one occasion, she was in surgery and I had to reschedule my appointment after waiting for hours (the office should have called to let me know of this beforehand, not let me wait for hours when the doctor wasn't even present). When in the appt with her, she paid little attention to me and my needs. I was there for annuals, but have had abnormal PAPs and would come in more often because of this. She would give me unsolicited advice about pregnancy even though I'm not trying to get pregnant. She would hold conversations with her nurse about her dogs and other random things while performing procedures on me. When I ask questions, she makes you feel dumb for asking. And the follow up is nonexistent! I was told to call her in a week after getting a colposcopy because she… would forget to call me with the results otherwise, not a joke. Then whenever I would need to call for anything, it would take *days* to actually get a response about anything (prescriptions, test results, etc.). I could go on and on about the horrible treatment I've received there. Save yourself, do not go to Dr. Lap.

No bed side manners. Blames the patient and family for all her wrong doings. Can't even ask questions without her being rude. I would never recommend anyone to use her not even in an emergency. Would rather give an overall rating of zero.

My experience was extremely awful due to Dr. Lap's crude, careless manner. I had an experience so terrible with her that I still have trouble discussing it. It...was...bad!! I nearly lost my life dealing with this "skillful" doctor. She also came in the hospital room like a raging bull to berate and embarrass me for needing to return following surgery because it would mess with her good record. In her angry words, "This does not happen to me!!" Even the nurse felt badly and consoled me when Dr. Lap left, letting me know that it was not my fault and I needed to remain in a good frame of mind to heal. Actually, I did "everything" I was supposed to, but it was her and her staff's deplorable non-response to my calls that landed me there on death's door to begin with. Her response was unbridled anger, all for her lack of attention to responding to her post surgery patients. I am absolutely writing to hospital chief of staff, medical review board, etc. I first need to deal with both… physical and psychological affects of this doctor's treatment!! I urge all patients with this type of extremely negative experience from any doctor to consider writing, as well, as doctor's take an oath that they all should honor. At minimum, respect is a basic right of the patient, not reserved only for doctors! I will tell every female I know to never entrust their health to Dr. Lap!! She is deplorable as a doctor and person in her callous treatment of others in need who unwittingly placed trust in her.

This person is not fit to have patient's care in her hands. She spends no time listening to the patient, is totally disrespectful and rude and has the most horrible disposition. How can you get good care from a doctor you can't even ask questions to? I wish I could rate her a zero.

Horrible Physician! She exclaims that she is so busy and have her patients waiting for hours to see her!

She need to BECOME AWARE of THE PATIENTS WHO ARE NOT PREGNANT AND HAVE AN BETTER ATTITUDEATTITUDE TOWARDS HER PATIENTS!!!.

I saw Dr.lap for 7 months of my pregnancy each visit I waited for HOURS to be seen. Her staff tried to be as polite & accommodating but they always seemed to be just as I was. I had many signs of preterm labor that she continuously ignored. After going to the er twice without her showing up or being called into her office for a follow up visit I finally switched doctors. Through out the time I was under her care she never returned calls and I only spoke with her on scheduled appointments. I will never recommend her to anyone. She is careless with her patients and seems too busy and stressed to care.

Yes, every time I've had an appointment I make sure i take an entire day off from work cause the wait is always very long. However, Dr. Lapeyrolerie is intelligent, she is there for her patients, she stands up for her patients, and spends good quality time with her patients. I have talked to other doctors, moms, other hospitals even, friends EVERYONE knows or has had an experience with Dr. Lapeyrolerie it seems and I have never heard any one bad thing about her. Everyone knows she is good at what she does and recommends if you can get past the wait for her that you won't regret having her as a doctor.

Wait times are horrible, but it is do to her being busy with emergencies.

If you want a natural birth, she's the one! The wait is crazy long every time but if you go into it knowing that, it makes it easier. I really enjoyed her nurses. You have to be nice first with some of them, but once you let them know they are respected and appreciated, they are great!Dr. Lap has an amazing bedside manner in her office and even better at the hospital. She believes in her patients' ability to have healthy pregnancies and deliveries, even if the odds seem against them. She never assumed things would go wrong just because I had pre existing conditions. She is well worth the wait!! I drove an hour to see her and was never out of her office in less than 2 hours, but when I am pregnant again, I can not imagine not having her with me through it!!
