Dr. Jennifer Marti, MD

Dr. Marti is amazing! She really cares about her patients. She is smart and talented. I have been under her care since my lumpectomy and auxiliary lymph node dissection in 2017. And her work was flawless, my scars were hardly visible. Even though she is with Mt Sinai now and they don’t take my insurance, Dr. Marti went above and beyond to speak with me at length and contacted other reputable surgeons for me when I had new changes in my breast.

Terrible staff. Your condition may get worse by the time they get back to you. No follow up, no care. Dr Marti is dismissive, not listening to your specific situation and symptoms in order to investigate the cause and diagnose. She doesn’t follow up and there is nobody to inform you about what's happening after you provide the imaging that they asked you to get done.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Marti. Smart, skilled, kind and caring. I highly recommend her.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. A lump expanded more than 5cm. I was referred to the David Koch Breast center where the staff was very hospitable. Dr. Marti was first on my list of doc to see. I waited over 2 hours to see her and she spent only 5 mins with me. Read my report and told I had to do a mastectomy right away after persuading me to do chemo. She was more concerned on if my insurance could pay for the imaging exams. Overall not impressed with her bedside manners. No explanation of options of lumpectomy just what was easier for her. Time to switch.

I had a very frustrating and bad experience with Dr. Marti and her office. Like another reviewer, I had problems from when I first called to make an appointment. The woman who answered the phone was rude and unhelpful. (I later got to speak to a different woman however, and she was kind and professional.) On the day of my appointment I waited two hours and 10 minutes to be seen by Dr. Marti, and she then spent maybe 5 minutes with me, no exaggeration. She was very dismissive and my husband and I both got the impression she felt like we were wasting her time. She may be a good surgeon, but if you want to feel like you're in the hands of someone who cares about you and puts some thought into your case, go elsewhere. I've loved all my other doctors at Weill Cornell, but I will never go to this office or doctor again.

Worst place ever go see someone that cares

I went to see Dr. Marti to get a second opinion on removing a lump in my breast. She is very lovely talk to, and is very knowledgeable. She told me to schedule the surgery as soon as possible since the dates fill up. I called the office and someone called Dionne refused to let me schedule an appointment because they needed to talk to the doctor first. So I then talked to Ruth, an RN on the surgical team, and she gave me a date. A week before, I didn't hear back, so when I called to check on my surgical appointment, since I already took the time off and was mentally preparing myself. I then find out from Ruth that people with "real cancer concerns" were given my surgical time as they were priority. She then said that it was just a tentative date and thought I understood that they could give my surgical time to someone who has "real problems". She then tried to give me another date and said sorry, these were emergency cancer cases and asked me not to talk to the doctor since the doctor… doesn't do any of her own scheduling. In other words, I messed up but please don't tell my boss. I have never been treated in such an unprofessional and uncourteous manner in respect to my health before. The worst part is this Ruth did not care and there is no way for me to contact this doctor to let her know what a terrible staff she has working for her. Between the front desk and this 'nurse', I am amazed they get anything done. So for anyone considering her, please note Dr. Marti is amazing, but her staff is so inconsiderate, incompetent and don't care about the patients. As good as Dr Marti is, you are better off finding a better office to work with.

Dr. Marti is wonderful. Knowledgeable, savvy. Thorough. Friendly. She saved me from two unnecessary surgeries. Just love her!
