Dr El Tamer is the best of all. He performed my bilateral masectomy I was diagnosed at 38 years old.

I'm 43 years of age and recently had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Dr. El-Tamer is an expert and gave me all of the facts that I needed to know. At first, it was so hard to hear the news but his honesty and compassion is something I will never forget. His team is wonderful and I felt supported every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. El-Tamer.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 44, I was petrified. As a practicing RN, I knew that I needed to seek out the best possible care to ensure that I had the best long term outcome. Dr. El-Tamer was simply wonderful. He was kind, caring, patient, and explained all options. I opted for breast conserving surgery and he e removed a 2.4 cm mass in my breast, yet was able to do so without compromising my physical appearance. My post surgical recovery was effortless. He is an amazing surgeon and I am so very thankful that he was my surgeon. He saved my life.

Dr. El Tamer seemed to be in a rush and even said "I have other patients to get to." This is not how you treat someone who was just told they have CANCER. Regardless of how "common" my cancer is, that is devastating to hear. I felt dismissed and rushed. What a horrible experience for someone who is feeling so lost and confused amidst these horrible test results. Dr. El Tamer should take more time to be sensitive and supportive to his patients. I don't want him to cut me open when he couldn't even sit in his chair as I asked my questions because he was in such a rush to leave. If you want a human connection and a doctor who sees you as A WHOLE PERSON, don't go to him. Also, he mentioned that they treat much more "serious" cancers there, which is ridiculous to me because that is basically telling someone "I can't help you." I wish everyone who is reading this all of the best on their treatment journey and I would highly advise against Dr. El Tamer.

Takes time to explain and answer questions. Extremely thorough exam. Excellent compassion and bedside manner.

Dr. El-Tamer peformed a lumpectomy for me. I believe he is a very skilled surgeon and I trust his knowledge and experience. He is very goal oriented and not particularly interested in bedside manner. He is pleasant enough, but he is very direct and doesn't spend too much time building rapport. However, he did hold my hand at surgery before I fell asleep. I would say he's not an authentically warm person but I believe his focus lies in performing surgeries with the utmost skill. I do think he genuinely cares about his patients but he is more focused on the outcome of the procedures than anything else. I recommend him because I trust his skill level - and truly this matters most when performing surgeries.

Misdiagnosed my wife’s condition. Does not answer calls and had been avoiding us. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Worst physician ever, competly self-absorbed and rude.

Dr. Mahmoud El-Tamer was my surgeon for a lumpectomy/partial mastectomy. Dr. El-Tamer is a very skilled surgeon. The incision for the lumpectomy is very close to my nipple and already (3 weeks post-op) the incision is blending into the nipple/skin. The incision for the lymph nodes is in a crease by my armpit so that this incision will also “disappear.” Dr. El-Tamer takes into consideration a woman’s feelings of how she wants her breasts to remain as beautiful as possible. Dr. El-Tamer has a nice sense of humor and a calming manner that is so important when dealing with patients who have a breast cancer diagnosis. This doctor was a nightmare and the completely opposite of what a caring health professional should be. Very impatient and condescending to me when I raised question about my condition. Do NOT go to this doctor!
