Dr. Jennifer Martha Mc Keand, MD

Dr. Jennifer McKeand was a very compassionate professional. I was extremely scared about the symptoms I had related to cancer. She actively listened to my concerns regarding the symptoms I was experiencing. She shared stats with me, explained the procedures that I would experience and drew pictures to show me what was going on inside of me. She actively walked me through the procedure while she examined me. This was so important to me and lowered my anxiety. She was very patient with me and explained everything again when my companion came into the room. Finally, she walked me to the receptionist and explained what she wanted scheduled as next step. I have never experienced a doctor walking me out to reception area. She is a very intelligent, kind and empathetic professional who followed through on her promise to call me with results.

Primarily saw Dr. McKeand during my pregnancy. Had a threatened miscarriage and ER physician instructed me to follow up with Dr. McKeand. At my follow up appt she asked why I was there, then after my answer snarked what I wanted her to ‘do about it’. I was frightened and scared! Should have been a red flag to find another Dr. and clinic. At subsequent appts she was often more cold than warm and always rushed. Not thorough and could have provided more advice. In retrospect wish I didn’t go out of my way to see her.

Dr. McKeand was my primary physician before and during my first pregnancy. She gave compassionate care during my prenatal visits although they always felt rushed. Had the misfortunate of having antepartum, delivery and postpartum complications. She was not on call to delivery my baby however did make a 'social call' a few hours after I gave birth. I was too exhausted during the 'social call' I was too exhausted from birth to have a proper conversation and stressed about my baby in the NICU. However, she did not take the time to follow up with me the days leading up to delivery or the days and weeks after. Was impossible with scheduling to get a timely postpartum appointment with her. I did care for her very much leading up to my delivery and postpartum care. Due to the lack of commitment and accountability I am sad to let her go as my primary physician and cannot afford emotional and health wise to have a 'repeat'.

Dr McKeand is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She has a wealth of knowledge and has the best bedside manner of any doctor of mine. She saw me through my first pregnancy as well as some additional health issues. I trust her with my life and recommend her to anyone who is looking for a good, honest and reliable physician.

I HAD THE BEST BIRTH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE WHEN DOCTOR MCKEAND DELIVERED MY 2ND DAUGHTER IT SOUNDS WEIRD BUT IT WAS FUN EXCITING AND LIFE CHANGEING IT BROUGHT MY HUSBAND AND I CLOSER AND I LOVE HER FOR THAT. MY THIRD BABY COULDENT WAIT AND SHE CAME EARILY SO DOCTOR MCKEAND DIDENT DELIVER HER BUT I'M ON NUMBER FOUR AND THIS IS THE LAST ONE SO DOCTOR MCKEAND HAS TO DELIVER THIS BABY SO IM GOING TO FIND OUT WHEN HER VACATION STARTS AND HAVE MY BABY BEFOR THAN ME AND GOD HAVE TO WORK THAT OUT.

I am sorry for writing this review so late but truth knows no time:We got to know Dr. Jennifer McKeand in 2007 following difficulty in conceiving. She is very knowledgeable and great in communicating all medical interventions and procedures in minute details so her patients can understand and make an informed decision. She is caring, honest, easy to talk. She truly shows empathy towards her patients. We are very much pleased with Dr. McKeand and we hope she stays in MN for we are truly lucky to have such an wonderful doctor and an amazing human being. My wife and I will never forget our experiences with Dr. McKeand. She has delivered our beautiful daughter early year and for that she has our eternal gratitude. Thank you Dr. McKeand.

Dr. McKeand is the best Doctor I have had. I have seen many Doctors and will not settle with someone I don't care for. I have been seeing her for over 3 years now, since I was 26-27. She is very knowledgeable and speaks to you not above you. I would highly recommend her to woman of any age. She has a sense of humor that I appreciate in a Doctor; some are way too serious. For the most part, Woman's Health Consultants gets you right in and the wait is short compared to my primary physician. I only work in Minneapolis and live an hour away, but I would make the drive to see her even if I did not work in Minneapolis because I finally found a Doctor that truly cares about my wellbeing. Highly recommended.
