Dr. Jennifer Kern Pennell, MD

I have been to see multiple psychiatrists and Dr. Pennell is the most thorough and understanding doctor I have seen! She is extremely kind and patient! Not to mention intelligent.

Dr. Pennell is one of the most respectful, superbly competent psychiatrists I have met over 35 years of practice as a psychologist. Her warmth of manner puts patients at ease immediately. She is committed to the best practice in her field. Dr. Pennell makes herself easily available to consult with other therapists, as well as to her clients. She cares about her patients' well-being, and is thoughtful, dedicated, and capable of caring for patients with complicated histories and dynamics. I highly recommend her practice and her depth of experience and wisdom without reservation.

Dr. Pennell actually cares about patients, calling to check the status of someone having a problem and put on new meds or someone who seems especially down during therapy. She isn't afraid to try different medications if you say one isn't working; she doesn't rely on her personal opinion of what it should or should not be doing. She's on time 95% of the visits, is never in a short or curt mood, and always smiles. I've been with her several years and have never considered changing since the first visit.
