Dr Shea was on duty in the ER when my husband had his heart attack at age 48, almost exactly four years ago. I'll be thankful forever of our luck because she was FIERCE and commanded that ward like a boss that day. She made things happen, quickly and decisively. Impressive, by any measure, but since she's about 5' and was under 40 at the time, I was especially delighted to see her command the situation so effectively, see the response and respect of the staff to her instructions, and at how quickly things got moving as a result. We were terrified. Her direct, no nonsense, 'let's get this done' approach was perfect, exactly what we needed. She communicates clearly and warmly. She knows her business, can explain the science and took the time to do so. She listened well and answered our questions with patience. When my sister moved up here from Florida, she saw Dr Shea as a new patient. That was at the height of the pandemic in 2021, and she's a Medicare patient. Virginia Heart is… a big practice. Dr Shea is the one you want.

Dr. Jennifer Shea did not take time to answer my questions. She instead talked over me and glossed over my concerns. She was annoyed with questions about my care. Her nurse Jennifer Chang was in a rush and kept making errors. This was a total waste of 2 hours and $500.
