Dr. Jennifer Uyeda Spiegel, MD

I was expecting a lot after reading reviews online. However, after getting very confusing and unclear directions on how to proceed with an appointment, I was met with a very defensive response upon pointing out that the doctor forgot to mention something. Going back feels not right at all.

AMAZING! She is one of a kind. Love her like a friend. Would never see anyone else.

I've been a patient of Dr. Spiegel's for three years. She delivered my second baby and took excellent care if me throught my pregnancy and in the weeks after. I've always found her to be caring and light-hearted. She addresses my problems in a caring manner, spending time to explain what's happening I my body. I actually look forward to seeing her, she's easy to talk to, like talking with a friend. She can relate to me as a busy mother and a working professional. I have recommended her to several friends, who also think she's great!!

I have been struggling with infertility for years. She refused to give me a referral to a fertility specialist, and said - to my face - "You know, you're overweight, and you would probably have a kid who would be overweight. You probably got picked on a lot as a kid - would you really want to do that to your child?"For the record, every kid gets picked on for something, and she made me feel worse than any playground bully ever did.

Dr. Spiegel and her assistant are fantastic. She is gentle, caring, and takes time to explain everything to you. I had a miscarriage, and she was so ...

I have gone to her for four years. She is wonderful. She has delivered my two children, and I love being her patient. She is funny, wonderful and very caring. She has related to me as a mom and professional. I really enjoy talking to her. Going to yearly appointments is not so bad because she has a great approach to her patients. I have recommended her to friends who also love her.

After meeting Dr. Spiegel, I understood the reason why it took so long in the waiting room. She spends a great deal of time with her patients. The staff could probably do a better job of scheduling her so this doesn't happen, but she was so sweet and caring that the time spent didn't bother me as much. Dr. Spiegel is very thorough, she listens with concern and her office followed up with me very promptly.

She seems like a nice doctor, but I have chosen to go somewhere else. First of all, it wasn't necessary I had to have another pap, but since, I was there she decided to charge me for a STD test, which I paid $100 out of pocket ( insurance covered the rest). I had been in a monagomous relationship for 6 years, had no symptoms of a UTI or BV, negative previous paps, negative for HPV, so I had no complaints. And, yet,she wanted to test me for STDs (just because I wasn't up for a pap). I thought that was wrong. She shouldn't run tests that aren't necessary or ones that are not fully covered by insurance.

I loved going to Dr. Spiegel. I had a unique situation with my pregnancy, and she was very accommodating and understanding. She has excellent bedside manner. She made sure I was comfortable with everything, and she is very gentle. The wait time in the office varied, and there was once or twice when I waited a really long time, but for the most part it wasn't bad. Dr. Spiegel went above and beyond to make sure I was okay when I was feeling emotional. I have since moved away from Sac, and I'll miss Dr. Spiegel!

The office is older, but the care is good. I felt at home, and taken care of. The medical assistant was very nice and helpfull. Dr. Spiegel was easy to talk to and understanding.
