Dr. Jennifer Velasco Ting, MD

This of the worst experience I’ve ever had. I am currently in HCA (PCU) for chest pain. She immediately looked at my chart from 2023 when I had blood clots and was hospitalized for months. Upon arrival in the er once transferred here, the er Dr called to see if she will take me and she immediately started saying she won’t treat my pain cause it may not be real chest pain. I haven’t been on any kind of medication in since I was hospitalized for months battling my life(over a year ago). She had every almost every Dr and nurse to treat me as if my pain wasn’t real until they got the stress test and it came back abnormal. Even after that she took away pain meds cause I asked for Benadryl. Thankfully the charge nurse advocated for me after seeing she wasn’t treating me fairly. She came for her rounds yesterday (after I asked for a new dr) and told my husband and I that yes she was treating me like that cause of all the meds I ASKED FOR. My husband intervened and informed her I only asked… for Benadryl. Side bar: They sent a psychiatrist around trying to say my pain was from anxiety and depression(before the stress test). I told them I didn’t need for them to diagnose me and I wasn’t taking any of her meds cause I’m in here to see what’s wrong with my chest only. I’m taking they said anxiety cause of how much I was crying due to the negligence. She looked me and my husband in the face and said she had a preconceived notion but apologized rudely in a condescending way. I told her that isn’t of best practice and if she look at my record I haven’t taken meds after I got better nor did I before. If it wasn’t for 2 nurses an the er doctor who actually showed they care and seen through her, I would’ve left and found a cardiologist. She said “ let me guess you have a problem with the cardiologist as well and you can always go home and find a different dr” I said I’m not going home and I only had a problem with her and the treatment she gave me based off untrue assumptions and also had other drs doing the same “ They gave me a. Much better Dr and I get my procedure today and hopefully go home” there is so much more I want to say but I’m going to save that for my grievance.

Rude, unpleasant, unprofessional…nurses calling, emailing and texting her with a new emergency issues that arrived while I’m in the hospital but she never responded, never came to the hospital until I got feed up and decided to sign myself out to go to another hospital as that hospital would not allow a different DR. to see/evaluate me!! Then she had the audacity to say she discharged me AFTER I signed myself out..FYI was admitted in different hospital same day! Horrible Human Being

Dr. Ting is pretty rude. No bed side manners and pretty strange doctor.

Good luck trying to locate this doctor. It appears as though she is a floater between different hospitals and has no office that she works out of. Supposedly she is contracted by a few different hospitals, but what her role is in these hospitals is, is a mystery. My wife had thyroid surgery and had to stay a night in the hospital. She had 3 surgeons that worked her case and her insurance paid for the complete operation and everything else that was involved with the surgery, but then we received an invoice from this doctor, through a billing service. When I inquired from the billing service what role this doctor performed they sent me a note stating something about my wife having arthritis in an unspecified hand. First of all, my wife was at the hospital for thyroid surgery and secondly she doesn't have any arthritis in her hands. My wife does not recall any doctor, by that name, attending to her during her stay in the hospital. My wife's insurance states that this doctor is not in… the network, but when you refer to the list of insurances that this doctor accepts, it does show the insurance that my wife has. BE CAUTIOUS!
