People need to know how harmful this doctor can be. She may appear nice at first, but in reality she is unprofessional, selfish, and consistently out of pocket. Rather than supporting her patients, she will try to get you dismissed from treatment and will not actually help you. If she becomes aware of your vulnerabilities, she may use them against you—not just once, but repeatedly. She is also far from transparent. Despite acting as if she’s privileged or above others, her behavior is manipulative. She even made comments that strongly implied I should harm myself, without explicitly saying it because she knows she isn’t allowed to. She suggested society wouldn’t accept me and questioned why I even live—right after telling me she was “dropping” me as a patient. It’s hard to convey how damaging that was. North Carolina is one of the hardest and most expensive states in which to file a malpractice claim, and she is very lucky for that. What I experienced during and after her treatment… severely affected me. Her behavior is not what it seems. She is manipulative, inconsistent, and unprofessional. She made me anticipate changes in my own treatment with little explanation. At one point, she even encouraged me to hire a sex worker. She frequently arrived very late to appointments without warning or apology and showed no respect for me as a patient or a person. She also gossiped about me within the clinic. Apparently, the entire staff knew I had been “burned” by this doctor. I still have no idea what they were discussing about me behind closed doors, but that alone speaks volumes. She also shamed me for past substance use outside the clinical setting, despite knowing how harmful that is. She would call me delusional to avoid taking accountability for her own actions, insisting she was justified. She assumed I didn’t know my rights or the law—HIPAA, human rights, or professional boundaries. The truth is, her version of “accountability” was to inflict mental and emotional harm. And in that regard, she succeeded.
