My pregnancy was a surprise, and I have systemic lupus. I went into my first appointment with her after I found out I was pregnant as a scared, very high risk patient who was physically and mentally unprepared to have a baby. Dr. Halfhill efficiently eased my concerns and treated me with ultimate care, consideration, and skill level. Not only did we have a remarkably positive interpersonal relationship, but she went above and beyond in staying in constant communication with all of my other doctors to ensure that I had the best, most personalized experience and treatment possible. My birth experience was an amazingly positive one - she delivered my baby herself. Since my baby was born, my husband's employer switched insurance plans, so I'm not seen at West Penn right now. However, we are getting ready to start trying for baby #2, and are switching back to Highmark at open enrollment SOLELY so that Dr. Halfhill can be my provider for this pregnancy and I can deliver at West Penn again. I… will say that she's straightforward and not one to sugar coat things, so if you're looking for someone warm and fuzzy to sit and pat your hand, she might not be the doctor for you, but Dr. Halfhill is an amazing human being and a top notch physician and I would recommend her to anyone who appreciates a straight-shooter and wants excellent care.

I love Dr. Halfhill. I don't know how many times I can recommend her, but when I get the chance, I do. She is very honest, very educated and very knowledgeable with her skills and your questions. She is very blunt; when I know I need to hear something honestly, I go to her. Very kind and knows what she is doing. Can't say enough about her.
