Dr. Jerome Lloyd Buller

Dr. Buller was the best doctor I have ever worked with and I've seen probably 500 doctors in my life. My diseases are numerous, rare and hard to diagnose much less treat. He was thorough and complete in a complex diagnosis. He helped me prepare with multiple therapies for more than a year before an intense surgery that he coordinated with a team of doctors. They didn't truly believe how my history with extensive and aggressive adhesions from 17 previous abdominal surgeries would complicate the projected 2 hour surgery into a 6 hour one, or that it would take 4 weeks rather than 4 days for me to recover. He was the only surgeon ever to offer apologies for the extraordinary suffering I endured those 4 weeks afterward, even though it was through no fault of his own and no mistake was made. It seems almost impossible for U.S. doctors to trust that such unusual people with medical experiences so outside the norm are not liars or mentally damaged. Other doctors have just dismissed me… personally or rejected my data as implausible or hysterical. He was professional, thorough, kind and an excellent doctor as well as a moral and humble man. Unfortunately, the adhesions they didn't have time to remove as well as the new ones incurred then will be a lifelong source of daily pain and obstructions, but he identified an unusual congenital bowel abnormality and corrected it and 4 other prolapses and constrictions, that no other doctor could even imagine much less test for and try to alleviate my agony. I had given up hope before I met him. I wish I didn't have to move and leave him.

This physician was first point of contact for my case during his residency. He was impolite, egotistical, and misdiganosed my condition (even with an ultrasound and outside phhsician's report of proper diagnosis having been provided to him). Accepting his advice could have led to severe and premanant damage. Fortunately, another physician in the group stepped in and proper treatment was rendered in a timely manner. Hopefully, he has learned something along the way, but I would not ever recommend him to any young woman.
