Dr. Jerome Marc Kane, MD

My grandmother, Romaine Payne was at Encompass for a week suffering with dementia and Parkinson’s. I was able to visit her everyday and constantly requested Dr. Kane to call but there was never any communication received. After removing my grandmother from the facility due to this he called and blamed the nursing staff for not communicating our need to speak to the physician. My belief is that if you have a patient that can’t communicate, you look at the chart and contact the family as it was indicated. He’s clearly taken this job at Encompass as a 2nd job but that should not make a patient a 2nd priority.

Communicated clearly how he arrived at diagnosis and what he recommended for therapy. Was supportive of my wife, who has Alzheimer's. Worked with me to find least expensive cost for a prescription.

Dr. KANE is a very to the point dr. I am sure that when I leave his office I am equipt with all information and instructions I need

I took my mother in for an initial visit for her hip. The staff was super sweet to me and my mother and Dr. Kane was delightful with my 86 yr old mother. He helped put her at ease and asked her many questions which she in turn had a story behind every answer and he listened with patience. Thank You Dr. Kane for I believe we will find a solution to my mothers pain with your knowledge and caring.

When I was taken to HEB hospital and Dr Kane was called in, he starting to ask me questions and tried to keep me awake I just wanted to sleep, he then slap my face so hard I thoughts what the --- is he doing... he told me not to sleep it would have made my condition worst, he is a true Doctor, and I view him as a dear friend.

I saw Dr. Kane after a minor stroke and have been happy with the care that I have received. I understand now that after a stroke your judgment may impaired and I appreciate the patients that Dr. Kane displayed. I did not agree at the time but now understand in hindsight he had my best interest in mind. I believe he is a doctor that truly cares about each of his patients

He's a good neurologist. He diagnosed my problem and talked w me about it. I would recommend him to friends and family.

This Dr. Kane is rude to his staffs. I don't think I get a good care when I see this from the waiting room of his office. He was impatient to listen to me to really understand my problems that brought me to his office. I wished he could be better than that.
