Dr. Jerry W. Chang, a board certified plastic surgeon, is a partner at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. Dr. Chang graduated with honors from Duke University in 1998 and received his MD from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri with honors in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology, and Obstetrics/Gynecology. In 2009, he completed a combined residency in General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University in Connecticut, where he also served as Chief Administrative Resident. During this time, Dr. Chang received advanced training in Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery, obtaining the Yale Microvascular Certificate. He was also awarded the Yale Plastic Surgery Scholastic Award in 2009. Dr. Chang pursued further training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, serving as Fellow and Junior Staff Attending, focusing on functional rhinoplasty, facial …rejuvenation surgeries, as well as breast and body aesthetic surgery. In 2007, Dr. Chang traveled abroad to Thailand as a medical volunteer with the non-profit volunteer organization, Changing Children’s Lives, Inc., where he treated children with facial deformities such as cleft lip and palates, facial deformities from burns, as well as congenital hand and feet deformities. Dr. Chang performs cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, specializing in rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, lipo abdominoplasty, breast reconstruction, and breast augmentation, among other procedures. Dr. Chang is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. He has presented research findings on a national level and authored multiple publications. Most recently in 2015, Dr. Chang was chosen as a Top 40 Under 40 by the Long Island Business News. Dr. Chang’s leisure activities include music, travel, art, film, sports and playing the guitar. Dr. Chang administered lip filler, and I'm loving the results! He was so kind and patient throughout the whole procedure to make sure I felt comfortable. I am in love with the outcome!

I was referred to Dr. J.W. Chang by Dr. A. Radzio after my breast cancer diagnosis. Over seven months, I had two surgeries performed by Dr. Chang: a unilateral breast reconstruction with a tissue expander and an implant exchange for a permanent prosthesis with mastopexy (breast lift) of the opposite breast. In the coming weeks, he will perform a nipple reconstruction and liposuction for fat grafting/transfer. Dr. Chang is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, exceptionally skilled surgeon who performs a wide range of reconstructive surgeries. He listens, offers advice, and never promises you something he won’t be able to deliver. From my first visit to my procedure and follow-up visits, Dr. Chang and his entire staff were professional, thorough, and considerate. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been under his care, and I eagerly await the outcomes in a few months! Thank you for being such a kind and caring doctor during my time of need. I would… highly recommend Dr. Chang and his staff to anyone in need of reconstructive surgery.

I am truly thankful for so many aspects of my experience with Dr. Jerry W Chang that I really do not know where to begin. So I will start with the part that I am most excited about… my results! I am so glad I choose Dr. Chang. He have made me feel so much better about my appearance and since the surgery I have a relief of back pains… Dr. Chang is a great and very gifted surgeon, and I am so happy that i chose him to do my breast. Dr. Chang came highly recommended by a friend and I am forever thankful. Not only was the care pre and post-surgery excellent, the results truly surpassed my expectations. Dr. Chang's credentials are top notch and his attention to his patients, answering all questions and providing his expertise with compassion and care truly makes a difference in the care received and healing process. Dr. Chang is excellent and if I ever need another surgery, he will be the one I ask. I highly recommend him!
