Dr. Jerry Richard Lithman

I'm glad to learn that Dr. Jerry Lithman is back practicing psychiatry (now) in Texas. He was treated poorly and unfairly by the NM Board of Medicine. In short, he's an outstanding and competent provider with a genuine sense of compassion and empathy.

This doctor took his time to listen to his patients. He was referred to me by a friend so he could help my daughter. Over a period of 3 years, her depression and anxiety were totally under control with minimal use of medicins. He was by far the best psychiatrist we had.

He used to prescribe any amount of narcotic I wanted. Easy to see why he lost his license.

Dr. Lithman has been my doctor for around 10 years. I could never imagine going to anyone else. I cant say enough good things about him. Always kind and compassionate and ready to lend an ear. I have valued his knowledge and expertise.

I have been a patient since 2003. At that time her had a 1-2 yrs waiting list. My physician prevailed upon him to help me. I don't know many psychiatrists, let alone a psychopharmacologist, who will spend an hour with you. He practices integrative medicicine taking all aspects of a patient's Hx, environment, exposures, prior responses/nonresponses to Tx.He is kind, compassionate, makes one feelimportant, doesn't pick your brain to pieces too quickly yet gently leads patients along. You can get to him in emergent situations. I have been at top tier medical instiutions and had friend/family call him to speak to MDs whose egos get in the way of good medical care ( e.g. your Dx came from someplace better than theirs or less prestigious than theirs so in either case they questioned diagnoses even with thorough records to back diagnoses). Dr. Lithman is brilliant and insightful and a genuine stand-out in his field.

I feel like Dr. Lithman has helped me so much since I have started seeing him. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives me more info than when I see my regular doctors.

I had been diagnoised as having fibromyalgia, cfids, etc... This was at a time when most doctors thought it was in our minds. My medical doc moved and I felt lost~ not knowing how to find a compassionate doctor who knew about my disease. A few made me feel crazy; as if the pain was in my head! I attended a fibro support meeting where I was given Dr. Lithmans number. That's been about 10 years ago and thank God I have him as my doc! If you know about this health issue, it only gets worse! He's been there for me through all of the pain and depression! I would recommend Dr. L to anyone with health/medical and 'emotional' issues! He really seems to understand and is compassionate for what we're going through! If he's available and you need a GOOD doc., then call him! You'll feel better soon!

Dr. Lithman understands the medications he prescribes and the effects on the patient. He pays close attention to the needs of the patient and their existing conditions and medications. He listens to the patient and verifies that the medication is working correctly.

Dr. Lithman is a wonderful doctor. I always feel that I can ask/discuss anything without embarrassment. His kindness and wisdom are matched by his professional knowledge. I am thankful my doctor referred him to me 14 years ago.

Dr Lithman has been treating me for over a decade. He is truthful, always willing to explain his reasoning for prescriptions or treatments. He is open to new ideas and is willing to help you evaluate them. He has your best interest in mind.
