Dr Kirby could not help me with simple hip pain he couldn’t read an X-ray gives you a piece of paper and charges you for physical therapy sends me to a specialist and the second specialist tells me dr Kirby should have helped me Clearly he does not need to call himself a Ortho specialist Went to a doctor outside Novant and was helped with the first visit clearly all Novant and their doctors want us to do is waste time and money

I went through bilateral knee surgery with Dr. Kirby on May 22. It has now been 12 weeks since the operation and I am recovering very well. Dr. Kirby has an excellent bedside manner, and made himself available to answer any concerns or questions I had along the way. Not only are my wounds healing well, but extra care was taken in stitching me up to minimize scaring. The arthritic pain that I have had for some 20 years is now gone, and in the process of strengthening leg muscles and breaking up scar tissue. Both of my knees not only straighten to 0 degrees, but also bend to 130 degrees. I highly recommend Dr. Kirby for orthopedic care.

Very bad experience in hip replacement with Dr. Kirby. Surgery in 2015 followed by three years of limping and “start-up” pain. Nine follow-up visits to doctor’s office plus CT scan and numerous x-rays. New surgery with another surgeon, shorter time in hospital and quicker recovery and no pain. Limp and pain are gone after one week. Trick apparently was using the right size hip stem for replacement and the right surgeon.

He is the best

I personnaly had a bad exerperience with Dr. Kirby, and more so his staff. Dr. Kirby first operated on my knee in mid 2010. During recovery, the pain presisted and a follow up MRI revealed that the problem still existed. Recently, I rescheduled surgery to corrct the problem, which did not go well. Dr. Kirby's staff failed to relay critical pre-surgery instructions to me, causing the surgery to be cancelled. Now I have another doctor

Awesome Surgeon. My wish if I ever needed another surgery, he would travel to PA to perform it. Very professional and exceptional attitude.
