Dr. Jesse Cabrera Yap, MD

I didn’t know who I was having a consultation with, only his name as, my Dr arranged the appointment, but the ladies I was sitting with in the waiting area knew who he was. When Dr Yap got off the elevator, these women (one of them about my age, late 20’s needed a cane) actually stood up! They said “That’s your Dr”. It felt so good to know others (and he wasn’t even their Dr) respected his work so much. How do people find out about things like this. I don’t circulate in the medical community anymore than I have to, and really never had a need before on my own behalf and my illness was nothing like the others I was familiar with. Every so often through the years my brother would update me on Dr. Yap (He called him Jesse Yap). I am so grateful to Dr. Yap for all he’s done for me and my family. Kids got to grow up with two parents, the baby got to know me, not just stories of me, I got to watch them all grow up and meet the grandkids! I remember when I met with you after I was discharged… from the hospital you’d said that you took pictures, and either just some, or none turned out - you seemed disappointed. I felt bad for you, but not bad enough to volunteer for another photo shoot. :-) Thank you, Dr. Yap.
