Dr. Jessica Calvo Castanon, MD

Dr. Jessica Calvo is a Board-Certified pediatrician specializing in the treatment and healthcare needs of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. She was born in Peru and completed medical school at the San Martin de Porres University where she graduated as a Medical Surgeon. In 2005 she moved to the US to complete her Pediatric Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Then in 2014, she moved to Dodge City, KS, where she provided pediatric services for close to 10 years. With over ten years of experience, she treats common childhood illnesses and injuries, provides preventive care, check-ups, and vaccinations. She has been the Director of the NICU and Pediatric Units at Western Plains Medical Complex and Saint Catherine Hospital Dodge City, as well as the Medical Director at Genesis Family Health. She is a member of the Lactation Coalition in Kansas and has participated in "Become a mom" program by giving classes, in Spanish and English, to pregnant woman. …In her last 5 years in Dodge City, KS, she had been a preceptor for PA students at the University of Wichita. As well as, participated in multiple community events giving talks about children and women health. Dr. Calvo enjoys sports, including soccer and volleyball. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors, fishing, mountain biking, drawing and painting.
