Dr. Jessica Marie Duhe, MD

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Duhe, for a while now and it feels good to see other reviews that I can relate to. This is the first doctor I’ve had that I didn’t trust with my health in their care. Anytime I would message her through the kp app she would always make it seem like she couldn’t answer my questions without making an appointment with her. She would suggest medication that had horrible side effects; It always felt like I was bothering her when I would make an appointment with her because she would have her medical assistant call me and ask me what my appointment I made with her pertained to. Overall I wouldn’t recommend her if you truly care about your wellbeing and look elsewhere.

I've worked with Dr. Duhe as a patient at Kaiser Permanente for almost two years. When I was having some dermatologic issues, I did my research and came to my appointment knowing exactly what medication I thought I needed. She acknowledged my research and then discussed her medication recommendation and why it would be better for me compared to what I had researched. After I took her recommendation, after a couple of weeks, I saw an improvement in my condition with her medication. I later asked her if it would be possible for me to possibly trial my researched medication, to which she prescribed it to me. I feel as though Dr. Duhe works hand-in-hand with me in everything that I have faced as a patient, she makes me feel like an agent in my own healthcare, and for that I am very grateful.

Incredibly unhelpful and resistant to listening or acknowledging real patient problems. She also makes a point of not working with patients and frankly, she seems to get off on being withholding (e.g. if you ask for a certain medication you've taken before and know it will not have side effects, she'll deny that request, just because, and give you another one she feels is right. Then you deal again with the side effects). I would give her zero stars if I could.

Doctor Duhe is very knowledgeable and actually listens to her patient.

Very professional easy to talk to very knowledgeable

I've had a life long struggle with my weight. I exercise regularly and always try to be aware of what I am eating. In fact, I have made significant progress this year alone. However, on my first visit with Dr. Duhe, she took one look at my weight and said I am eligible for weight loss surgery. Personally, I found this approach to be insulting and extremely hurtful. Doctors should be partners with their patients in helping them to achieve their weight loss goals. This means first, trying to solve the problem with setting up goals and monitoring their patients' progress. Maybe she meant well, but nonetheless, I left crying.
