Jessica Hoffman

Jessica Hoffman, AuD has more than 15 years of clinical experience specializing in pediatric and adult hearing healthcare. Born deaf, she learned spoken English through the auditory-verbal method and is fluent in American Sign Language, giving her unique insights bridging both the clinical and d/Deaf worlds. She earned her AuD from Northwestern University in 2010 and her B.S. in Biopsychology from Tufts University in 2006.Dr. Hoffman currently practices at Westchester Medical Center's Advanced ENT Services and the Westchester Cochlear Implant Center in Hawthorne, N.Y. Her clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive audiologic assessments across all age groups, advanced hearing aid fitting and programming, and cochlear implant services from candidacy evaluation through programming and troubleshooting for advanced bionics and cochlear devices. She specializes in both pediatric and adult populations, including BAHA evaluations and fittings.Her professional journey includes international …experience, having worked at prestigious institutions in London, including Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital Hearing Implant Centre and The Portland Hospital. Dr. Hoffman's research background includes work at the Massachusett's Eye and Ear Infirmary's Eaton Peabody Lab and Northwestern University's Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory, where she received the American Academy of Audiology's Student Investigator Research Award in 2009.Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Hoffman is a passionate advocate for the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community. She serves as a guest lecturer at Iona University and has presented at numerous local and national conferences including the American Cochlear Implant Alliance and ASHA conventions, regularly speaking about accessibility in audiology, eliminating audist practices, and her lived experiences as a cochlear implant user.
