Jessica Kozlosky, RDN

Jessica Kozlosky is a dietitian specializing in diabetes education and management. She treats adults with various types of diabetes, including Type 1 and Type 2, gestational and latent autoimmune diabetes in adults. She provides nutrition education on carbohydrate counting. She also performs blood glucose testing, provides insulin pump education and helps train people on continuous glucose monitoring and insulin injections.She earned her degrees in nutrition from Marywood University in Scranton.Her own journey with diabetes inspired Ms. Kozlosky to become a provider. “I have had Type 1 diabetes since I was 11 years old. When I was 18 and away at school, my diabetes became very difficult to manage, and I had to drop out and move back home.”Transitioning into adult endocrinology helped her understand her condition — and her career goals — even better. “I met an amazing nurse who also had diabetes. She connected with me like no one had before,” says …Ms. Kozlosky. “She understood my concerns and fears and was empathetic. And it made me realize that I want to spend my life showing that compassion to others. Now, it’s very fulfilling for me to be able to ease a patient’s fears, help them accept their diabetes and make it more manageable or help them in some other way along their diabetes journey.”A native of Greenfield Township in the Scranton area, Ms. Kozlosky enjoys spending time with her 6 cats.
