WORST OBGYN. Mean Girl energy. unprofessional. Not for larger women. I fired her & the practice the week of my scheduled induction. During every appointment something was said that was off putting. I always racked it up to anxiety & pregnancy brain. At one appointment I expressed that I had lower back pain & severe hip pain, she said it’s normal & highly encouraged me to lose weight. Mansplained the effects of being overweight, to which I replied I understand. I’m well aware & have had this conversation with doctors before, I hear you & I’m doing what I can. She didn’t seem to like that I was still calm & understanding so she then repeated her fat spiel word for word in a scolding demeanor as if I had not heard her the first time. Should’ve been my last visit. Next appointments were w/Tania Yousaf. Shared my concern of hip & lower back pain- she wrote me a referral for physical therapy. No scolding, no fat shaming, just knowledge of what to do next. Tania was the only person I would… schedule my appointments with until they made me start seeing Jessica towards the end of my pregnancy. THANK YOU TANIA for treating me with kindness. Fast forward to my last trimester- Jessica checks my cervix, then offers her hand to help me sit up. I remind her slowly please because of my back and hips while I took her hand. she yelped, let go & dropped me halfway up. She insisted upon helping again & then made a comment about not expecting me to pull her over. She left the room & immediately started laughing with the nurses in the hallway. I told myself they couldn’t be laughing about what JUST happened while I’m still in here. Took some deep breaths to calm my anxiety. I walked out & they all quieted down. Rounded the corner & they busted out laughing again. If that wasn’t enough, my last appointment before induction came around. Husband came with solely to help me up after the examination. She asked how I was while I laid back. Told her I was fine & excited to meet baby. Time came for me to sit back up. I look to my husband, but she’s already there insisting I take her hand. I remind her I’m still experiencing the back & hip pain & don’t want a repeat of last time. She pulled me upright quite pointedly & went to wash her hands at the sink. While facing away from me she says “yeah I wasn’t expecting you to pull me over with ALL your weight last time. As for the back & hip pain, don’t have another baby since this has been too difficult.” She then turned around with her face all red & immediately rushed through what to expect for induction. Briskly left the room while saying bye. Spoke w/ office manager, reported the many instances and unprofessionalism. requested a different doctor to deliver. Jessica called me around 5:30 that day. “I’m calling because I’d like to hear what you THINK I said to you because my office manager said you said I told you not to have any more babies and that’s definitely not something that I would say. So I’d like to hear what it is you think I said?” I told her that I wasn’t going to be gaslit any longer. An intelligent woman should know how to speak to her patients and just be kind. Hit her with the good ol “bless your heart” & hung up. Called the office manager & informed her of the conversation, she was appalled that was what the conversation was. Jessica had told her she wanted to call & personally apologize. Lol

Dr. Mills was on vacation therefore I had to see Dr. Montalvo. After 18 hours of labor and 9.5 cms dialation, I was told I had to have an emergency csection performed by Dr. Montalvo who lost her wedding ring under the surgery table while I was being operated. Quite unprofessional! Anyways I'm pregnant for the second time and was told that whoever did my c section was very unskilled because I have a lot of scar tissue so take your chance if you don't care about yourself.
