Dr. Jessica Short Chism, MD

Very impressed with how thorough and kind Dr. Short was, even at the very end of the day. Asked many questions, also had already looked at medical records and history. I felt like she really tried to get any information that would help with a diagnosis. She really seemed to care!

My doctor in fort smith referred me to her because my rheumatoid factor was elevated so I went up to see her in Fayetteville and she kept looking at my joints and focusing on arthritis and I understand people come there for rheumatoid arthritis but that's not what my doctor sent me there for. She ended up taking 9 tube of blood and prescribed me rheumatoid arthritis medicine so : (

I've been sick for nearly 20 years and have seen doctor's in 3 different states. It took me 15 months to get 10 minutes of verbal assaults and unfounded medical advice! She told me to cancel my thyroid surgery the following day because 5 endocrinologist's said my bloodwork was normal. She also had the audacity to tell me, "You've been sick for a long time. Obviously, whatever is ailing you isn't deadly and I think you will be fine. I really don't think I can help you." I ignored her and THANK GOD!!! I had a mass on my right thyroid that had grown around to my spine and was pushing on it! I had nodules so big, they had embedded under my collar bone and shoulder!!! So far, 3 pathologists can NOT identify the cell structures from the mass. It has now been sent off to John Hopkins, The Mayo Clinic and M.D. Anderson's pathology department's. I say all of this because her office just called and said all my bloodwork was normal, but I have low vitamin D3. "Dr. Short said you are… fine."!!!!!! I'm enraged at her behavior and flippant attitude toward my situation.

She offers opinions and judgments without really listening ... I found her to be condescending and rude. Will never return !!20

No caring, compassion from Dr. Short or her staff. I am very disappointed in their professionalism & will never go back.

Dr. Short is a very nice person but i went to her for almost almost 3 years and she could not figure out what was wrong with me. She only saw me twice a year and when i lost faith in her ability to figure it out. I cancelled my appointment. She didn't ask me what was going on she stopped being my doctor. She fired me as a patient. Now i have a different doctor who needs my medical records to treat me so i am not out all the money for the same test and x-rays but her office doesn't send them.
