Dr. Jill Christina Anderson, MD

I was 10 minutes late today and she cancelled my appointment. How many times have we all sat in a cubicle wearing a paper robe waiting and waiting to see the doctor?! Today I was there but I had to wait in line to check in. It took me 5 months to get this appointment. I would have gladly waited however long to see her. This was unacceptable and rude behavior. I won’t go back.

I was a new patient and booked my appointment with Dr Anderson many months in advance for a dermatology appointment. I was hoping she could do a body check as I was new to her office, have a family history of skin cancer, and had not been to a dermatologist before. When I there they informed me I was supposed to let them know IN ADVANCE to do a body check and that Dr Anderson didn’t have time that day. They would compromise with me and she would make time to check my arms and legs! Oh and I could book a second appointment for her to take a second (actually thorough check) in six months or so! I already waited months for the appointment and was paying for it. Why would I pay to come back? Dr Anderson spent 7 minutes with me and I don’t feel like she addressed my concerns or was actually present with me while I was there. Another body, in and out the door. The Northwestern office staff isn’t great. I was a new patient; how would I know to ask for a thorough check if I hadn’t been… there before? The waste of an appointment isn’t solely Dr Anderson’s fault, but her dismissive behavior didn’t help. Chicago/Evanston: there has to be better, more thorough, caring dermatologists out there. Go anywhere else.

After receiving an appointment confirmation and reminder and finding childcare for my daughter I show up only to be told the appointment needs to be rescheduled. The office insisted that they had called and left a message but this was not the case as my cell phone log and voicemails prove. I did not reschedule as with most people I have a busy schedule and I need a reliable doctor’s office.

I wish there were a review worse than poor. Dr. Anderson saw my son and ruined his life by withholding vital information from my son and I and disclosed this information after the damage had been done. I wish I had the finances and the energy to sue her.

Dr Anderson was very professional and genuinely cared about improving my health. I recommend this doctor to my friends.

Because of the issues with my sensitive skin (including basel cell carcinoma at a young age) and frequent moves, I had a lot of dermatologists in my life. But Dr. Anderson definitely stands out (hence, I actually found time to write this review). She spends time with me, answers all of my questions (including my sometimes silly concerns), and does provide me multiple options how to deal with them (not just saying "you need to do " - more of discussing available options and all pros and cons). Also (amazingly!) she actually knows about insurance issues and prices for meds - so she's very open about what might cost more/less and what might not be worth paying for more. Amazing doc, seriously!
