Dr. Jill Brodsky, MD

Best decision to bring my son to her after years of mismanagement at another “top tier” children’s hospital. I have never been happier with her care and she always takes time to explain everything to my son so he can be an active participant in his health.

I strongly question her decision to work with children. It was painful to watch her attempt to contact with my child. The attempt was a forced one, not a natural one. There was no warmth, or a sense of caring about my child, nor towards my child. The first exam was brutal, to point I stopped it. My child left feeling violated. One should not (not even a doctor), attempt to exam a child’s private parts without exception, or permission from the child. Her aggression during the exam, closed off any possible connection between her and my child. Any communication between her, and myself seemed pointless. I do not believe she heard a word I said regarding the care of my child. Her personality is a strong, and cold. One that I feel does not work well with children. I do not recommend Dr. Brodsky, nor will ever recommend her to any parent.

After reading a few of these reviews I expected the worst when I brought my child in the see Dr. Brodsky for the first time. Walking in for the first time I had little to no knowledge about my child's illness. I left the office informed and empowered. I am SO glad I followed my child's Pediatricians advice to see this Dr. It is clear Dr. Brodsky is well respected within her field and now I can see why. With diabetes it is extremely important to follow instructions. As many know it can be the difference between life and death, sickness and health. I love that this Dr. walks you through the process step by step. After all your child's healthcare is your responsibility as the parent. I would have to assume that those reviews that mention CPS struggled with that concept. As I mentioned it could be the difference between life or death. If you end up in the unfortunate position of having to need this type of Dr. for your child do not hesitate to go to Dr. Brodsky. It will be the best… decision you will ever make regarding your child's healthcare. We have now been a patient for some time and still extremely pleased.

Since my daughters diagnosis in 2012, Dr Brodsky and her staff have always been helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Brodsky, from our first office visit has given us her time (never rushed), explaining everything, making sure we understood. She is current with plans and technology to ease my daughters manageabilty of Type 1. She makes herself accessible for questions or concerns and responds in a timely manner. Overall, she is a pleasure, always professional with quality care.

As you will find on many other sites that offer reviews of Dr Brodsky... avoid subjecting your child to her at all costs. She has no kindness or compassion, is CPS trigger happy and I would not be surprised if she is financially motivated to keep her patients having good lab results. I can't imagine another reason for her to be so cruel and make so many kids cry who are already suffering so much. If you have had good experiences with her, just wait until your child stumbles and doesn't do as well and her true nature will be revealed. She has no business treating children and I also will be reporting her to the Dept of Health.

Brusk Manner, no compassion for my 13 yr old new Type 1 Diag, treated us like we were doing something wrong, puberty check with no explanation, my daughter very upset, no followthrough, I called her sugars in after a week, no return call, they called CPS on my family. (because my daughter was upset by abrupt "puberty check". Dr. Brodsky then asked if my daughter was "nonverbal" in front of my daughter. This angered my child very much, she knew it meant autistic. The WORST experience ever! CPS totally unfounded and unbeleievable. Even CPS office could not believe she did this. She cited that we were not managing my childs diabetes! Which was NOT TRUE. My child was self-injecting in the first month. I am complaining to Dept of Health. Thank goodness for my awesome primary, taking over until we get to new Endo in NYC. Please travel far to get away from this office. Nightmare getting scripts for life-sustaining supplies from them also.

Great experience with doctor and staff! She ran on time, gave us handouts to take home, and let us know she would send a letter to our pediatrician to keep him in the loop.

We met Dr. Brodsky on the worst day of our lives when our daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She was reassuring, quickly got her blood sugar under control, and bonded quickly with my daughter and our family. I've never had a doctor spent over an hour with us before answering our questions...and she did it every day we were in the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Brodsky!

My daughter saw Dr. Brodsky for Graves Disease. I was very worried. Dr. Brodsky and her staff helped us get an ultrasound of my daughter thyroid the same day. I was able to get an appointment to go over results right away. Dr. Brodsky spent all the time we needed to understand what was going on and the new medicine my daughter needed. She gave us handouts to read and the direct office number if we had any further questions. We could not have been more pleased with out visit. Our family is confident in the care and treatment we are receiving with Dr. Brodsky and her staff.
