I was under this endocrinologist’s care for 11 years, and looking back, I feel completely failed by her. I came in with obvious red flags: low testosterone, thyroid problems, obesity, and later developed heart disease while all of this was supposedly being “managed.” Not once in over a decade did she order a prolactin test, even though high prolactin is a well-known cause of low testosterone and is tied to pituitary and metabolic issues that can affect the heart and blood vessels. That is not a small oversight; it’s a basic, standard part of a thorough endocrine workup that she simply never did. What makes this infuriating is that I wasn’t some quick, one-time patient. I kept going back, year after year, while my hormones were off, my weight was a problem, and my cardiovascular health worsened. Meanwhile, hyperprolactinemia has been linked to increased cardiovascular risk and endothelial dysfunction, and low testosterone itself is associated with higher risk of heart problems and… cardiovascular events. A simple blood test for prolactin could have ruled out or uncovered a major contributing factor, but she never bothered. Instead of digging deeper, her care felt lazy, generic, and stuck on autopilot while my health slid in the wrong direction.pmc. At this point, I don’t see this as just “missing a test”; I see it as a serious failure to do the job of an endocrinologist: to actually investigate the causes behind long-term hormone and metabolic problems. I’m now living with heart disease after 11 years of what I thought was specialist care, and I’m left wondering how much of this might have been preventable if she had taken my case seriously enough to look for all the obvious underlying issues. If you want a doctor who will aggressively search for the root cause of your hormone and metabolic problems instead of coasting along while your health deteriorates, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Dr. Felder diagnosed my thyroid disease after 3 other Endocrinologists missed it. I had obvious signs that the other docs overlooked. She’s been my doctor for the past 2 years and I couldn’t be happier. If you want a competent Endocrinologist she is the one for you.

My glucose readings under two other physicians over the years has ranged to 400. My A1C is now under 7.0. Dr Felder takes the rare approach of taking whatever time is needed to speak with you and listen to your concerns. She is extremely knowledgable, kind, and considerate. I have referred her, which is the best accolade, and am referring her again this morning. If you are looking for a specialist, call her office.

My appointment was for 1:30 I didn't get called back until 6pm. Then spent only 15 with her. She still had 2 more to see. Never called me back after test. She doesn't know anything about Addrenal Glands! She told me she couldn't understand why my blood pressure was so high and 2 years later so low. The out patient Nurse handed me a paper before my test. It says, the Addrenal Glands play a large role in regulating blood pressure!! Also, she looked at my last blood work for Triglycerides. Results were over 400 with fasting and a double dose of Lipitor. She charted "nice triglycerides".Umm had just explained I have critical level stenosis in my Carotid Arteries after 3 previous surgeries. WVU told me I had that again and Addrenal Gland Insufficient's. What a waste of my time!!!!

Not only did the doctor listen carefully to my concerns, her staff was excellent too.

She also acts like she doesn't know who you are everytime you come to see her. I am not trying to attack this women's character like she did to me, but if I were a doctor I would know all my patients that I've cared for over a 4 year period especially. I am moving on to a new endocrinologist personally I just felt I would summarize my own experiences with her for the rest of you!!!

This docter doesnt know how to relate to the patient what so ever!!! She makes shrude comments to ppl. She doesnt listen to a word you say, ask you what you think should be written as far as prescriptions go. She orders bloodwork that doesnt need ordered then you wait a month to see her to find out you need to go back for more bloodwork to wait another 2 months to see her again. She is an intelligent person, but really needs to take a long hard look at herself in the mirror to determine whether she wants to be a doctor or a judge!!!!!

She is never on time and dresses poorly. She seems to be disconnected from you and never reviews your file well. Subsequent visits became more hurried and less interested in my health. She asks what you want to do rather than tell you her recommendation (when you haven't seen the blood test results). Then writes a script and dashes off. One day I went to schedule and appointment and the office told me she was no longer there offering no other info. She never followed by mail up to say she moved or switched practices. I had to hurry to find another endocrinologist. Not the best experience. Seems like a nice person but not a great doctor. Obviously the person who wrote the glowing report was a friend or relative. PS I later found out I never even needed thyroid medications.

First appointment was ok but she discussed her boredom in her marriage. Later appointment she discussed how she needed to dump her 5 kids off to a camp for the summer so she could open another location. She never ran on time, she was rude and inconsiderate. After I left the practice when she walked out of an appointment when I told her I had to get to work and she was over 30 minutes late despite being in the office, she wrote me a letter telling me I wasn't welcome back.
