Knowledgable and was able to construct an agreeable treatment plan. That is all I can say about Dr. Swary. I just returned from my very first visit and the staff in the office was not very caring and in particular Dr. Swary's bedside manner was very poor.

i was recommendeded by my primary care physician at Northwestern University. i have been to several derm docs in the last few years, and never had one of those docs check me out like this doctor did. full body head, feet, eyelids: she really took her time. i told her my uncle and two cousins died of melanoma, and she reassured me of a thorough exam and accurate record keeping, so that my future exams had a baseline . never had such a great exam. would highly recommend her.

This doctor straight up TOLD BE SHE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME when I explained exactly what symptoms I had. DO NOT EXPECT TO BE HELPED!

dr swary prescribed medication for my psoriasis that actually worked. - - have been to two other doctors previously that could not figure out a strategy to relieve my symptoms. very generous with her time and expertise and exceptional follow up. i would highly recommend this doctor.

Thorough exam, called me personally with results. Also treated my daughters acne and great with motivating my teenage kids to treat their acne!

Most thorough total body skin exam I have received from a dermatologist. Takes extra time to explain my skin problems clearly. Diagnosed my skin cancer that another dermatologist overlooked. Calls to explain my results. 5 stars.

i had my annual full body dermatology check and again impressed at the attention dr. swary gave me. she was attentive, gave me a full examination and i also got botox injections and have yet to bruise (always have in the past with the plastic surgeon).

I have seen Dr. Swary once, for a skin issue that developed after a mosquito bite (persistent intense itching, leathery texture). I suspected it was an infection; I just needed confirmation and treatment. Dr. Swary asked what kinds of soaps and lotions I use and suggested that they could be the culprit. Why would only one patch of my skin be affected by a reaction to a product? Good question, and not one that Dr. Swary was interested in considering. She gave me some soap and lotion samples and suggested I switch detergents. None of that helped. My non-medical-professional boyfriend did some basic Internet research, suspected Tinea Incognito, gave me OTC athlete's foot cream, and the problem resolved after a few weeks. A board-certified dermatologist failed to diagnose a simple fungal infection because she would not listen to me and did not trust that I had any idea what was going on. This seems to be par for the course at Northwestern Medicine lately.

had a great checkup. would recommend this doctor because she was attentive and very thorough. she didn’t rush through her exam, and i was impressed with professionalism.
