He botched my father's surgery and ruined his life! He cut and run! He did not follow through after he nicked my father's bowel during surgery! Would not recommend! As we have found out, much too late, there are more highly qualified surgeons out there!! I've spoken with others who have had terrible outcomes from him as well!

I was 46yrs old when I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis so severe that I had a perforated colon and was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Bem decided he had to do surgery due to the severe infection. He told me it was the worst case he ever saw. After 2 months with an Ostomy bag, he did the reversal surgery. I am now 49 and living a healthy life. I owe it all to this man that God sent my way. He Operated on her and removed her cancer after almost 7 hours of surgery. This man acted immediately, gave my sister and our family the utmost care and respect and service. His bedside manner atop this is a 5 STAR mannerism. He is calm, cool, collected, personable and above all- AN EXCELLENT SURGEON. I chose HIM for my sister, because after all of my years in surgery; as an operating room nurse, I found this man to be of great knowledge and expertise. He goes above and beyond for his patients. He truly does. He truly acted immediately, effectively and got her on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and fighting to prevent this cancer from returning. This man is more than just a fine surgeon. He is a man of great integrity.
