Dr. Joan Morales Vicente, MD

I am not one to rate doctors but I feel Dr. Vicente deserves this one. I have had a few primary physicians and have changed doctors due to several reasons such as doctors not spending enough time to listen or follow up with me or maybe busy staff that don't seem to be very empathetic. I have seen Dr. Vicente at least 5 times in the past 6 months for annual checkups, flu, and injuries. Each time she has been incredibly patient and listens to me. After she does a thorough assessment she then explains very clearly what she thinks the problem is or what tests she plans to order. She never seems rushed and really takes her time. In addition, after having MRI, XRays, labs, etc at diffract occasions I have found that she has been consistent in calling me at home AND returning my phone calls usually after hours (evening) to discuss w/me the results and the plan of action! Honestly, no doctor I've had has had the time to do this efficiently and consistently. She has seen me and my… spouse, different occasions, for last minute appointments (calling that morning to be seen that day) for flu-like symptoms we've both fought for a week with no improvement. Her office staff have been efficient. For example, she asks them to obtain an EKG and it's done quickly. They are very kind and despite the constant phone calls and many patients in waiting room they still maintain their professionalism. I have referred family and coworkers to Dr. V and they have all equally felt the same way! All in all, if you're looking for a smart, efficient, and kind family doctorâ?¦Dr. Vicente is definitely one to trust. By the way, I work with MANY physicians and have seen them allâ?¦..I am a nurse!
