Dr. Joana Emmolo, MD

I have experienced extreme prejudice, extreme discrimination, and racism from dr. j emmolo, her staff, and her radiation technician Brian. Dr. j emmolo did Not give me honest answers about the side effects of my radiation treatments, and she showed below 0 compassion towards me. Her radiation technician Brian gave me extreme, high scorching radiation overdose on and near my body area where a cancer was surgically removed, but more scorching radiation on my lymph nodes an inch away from my armpit even though lab results stated I had no cancer in my lymph nodes. I informed dr emmolo of that information but her frequent best excuse was my body was extremely LARGE than any other patient she has ever seen, and that is why she approved the radiation overdose on me. Despite the terrible pain I was in, dr emmolo's radiation technician Brian continued giving me high, scorching radiation on my armpit until red near bleeding flesh was exposed. Every day that I arrived for my scheduled… appointments, I was forced to sit, and wait an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time while new patients that arrived after me were seen first! I told dr. emmolo many times that I wanted to finish my radiation treatments somewhere else; but dr emmolo and her radiation technician Brian insisted that I keep coming back to them for more extreme scorching radiation overdose. And she was NEVER available to answer my questions regarding my radiation treatments except on her special Wednesday doctor/patients days. I absolutely would NEVER recommend dr emmolo to any new cancer patients. There are other better, more compassionate radiation oncologists in the state of New Jersey!

Lacking in any empathy whatsoever and did not answer questions clearly.

My husband has been waiting for an appointment for over a month now. The answer were “we are setting the schedule up” : how long it takes to set up a schedule? a month or 2?

Dr Emmolo is well prepared thorough and professional. She instills immediate confidence in her diagnosis and course of treatment. She took time to answer my questions as well as my husbands and always promptly returns any phone calls. Would highly recommend her!
