Dr. Joann Richichi, DO

This office seemed professional until I received a call-back from the secretary prior to my very 1st appt, and after filling out tons of paperwork and emailing all my records and labs. She stated that Dr Richichi would not treat me with bioidentical hormones unless I would get synthetic IUD birth control put in. Number one, that was not the main reason I was eager to visit Dr Richichi. I was actually looking for a new gynecologist that was open to natural treatments other than synthetic Provera that I had been put on to treat a uterine polyp. Dr Richichi's beliefs were quickly explained to me that bioidenticals cause birth defects in babies??? (If that is the case then why do doctors prescribe natural Progesterone to carrying mothers and why did my current doctor have me on synthetic progestin, and why would Dr Richichi prescribe bioidenticals to anyone if they are that harming to a baby or a womans body). Professional oversight of natural progesterone levels is probably all I needed.… I explained to the woman that couldn't I have simply gotten off-of any bioidentical creams IF I had even planned on a baby. I am 39 years of age and told her I didnt plan on getting pregnant and my husband and I can handle our birth control method using condoms as we have been for 5 years. I had NO plan of getting on another poison synthetic birth control as they had already caused me numerous health issues in the past 17 years. I was not only looking for someone professional to oversee dosing of likely only a natural progesterone cream, but a new GYNO which she never even considered because their focus was to have me get on an IUD before I ever even walked in the door. I was extremely excited to find a DR that was open to natural treatments from a Gynecologist, along with being covered by insurance, but it was evident from a random secretary's phone call that Dr Richichi didn't care enough to call me herself to have that discussion before they simply cancelled my appointment. Very upsetting experience for me to say the least.

Only interested in money. Not caring self centered

Dr. Richichi is always attentive & caring. She takes the time to listen to my concerns & questions.

I had two cycles a month over a ydar went to dr get an ablation done but before procedure j r did a dialiation of the cervic I did read about it before online it differ from woman to woman well it is the most painful procedure ever had done dr didnt finish cause I all heard was this one a bleeder know had to have done again I begged dr jr to give me pan meds before procedure and said NO! I went again to amy taking mpain meds from a friend so I could endure the dialiation she took 3 samplesand I had my ablation done.no heavy cyle since just spotting.3 yrs later noe have breast cance er considering going to another gyn because I was dissatified with her not helping me a longtime patient whose had even both my children too.

She was the worst ever! Told me I was loosing my baby and didn't even say sorry or offer comfort or guidance. Said it to me like she was ordering McDonald's from the drive through. Horrible doctor and person

If not for Dr. Richichi and her understanding of bio- identical hormones, I would have been on a slew of medications just trying to feel somewhat "normal". After three months, I feel like myself again and have Dr. Richichi to thank for that!!!

Dr Richichi is now in the business of doing hormone replacement therapy for both males and females. Not sure how she is as a gyn, but beware of her as an HRT doctor. She is pushing testostore implants on several points. Beware of implants as they are not reversable and you have to wait for them to expire for the side effects to go away. They also dont tell you the whole reality behind the implants. If you are researching options look towards the cream which is adjustable. The implants are not for 5-6 months. This is a cash cow for Richichi. Again, do your research and beware. They also are not helpful with billing your insurance company for these procuedures. Granted some dont allow for this procedure/medication, but mine did and Ms. Marie Hernandez, the billing manager is one arrogant individual that is not at all helpful. Good Luck!

i have been to many obgyn docs over the years and Dr. Richichi is the one doctor that stands out as being the most caring and having the kindest bed side manner
