Dr. Jo Ann Ong Rivera, MD

I was Dr Rivera's patient, when she practiced, in Mason, Ohio. As a RN BSN, for almost 29 yrs, in Telemetry/ICU, I trust Dr Rivera 100%, as the most competent, caring physician, I had. Very sad, when she moved to Colorado. It has been difficult, finding an Internal Medical Physician, that can match Dr Rivera's standards.

My name is Kay. I was a patient of Dr. Rivera's for over 20 years in Cincinnati. She is, in my humble opinion, the best. In the past, my friends/family would complain about their MDs and I just smiled and told them my doctor was wonderful. She always took the time to listen, always asked the right questions, sent me to specialists when the need arose, and worked doggedly until she found the solution to my issues (and there were many!). Even my husband and children would see her before they moved away for school, marriage, etc. My heart was broken when she told me that she was moving to Colorado! I wish I was independently wealthy so I could just fly to Colorado for my doctor's visits. Needless to say, I am on my third doctor. I have not been able to find anyone who even remotely compares to Dr. Rivera. If you are looking for a doctor who puts patient care first? She is your physician!!! Tell her Kay sent you!!!

I saw Dr Joann Rivera, for many years when she was in Mason,OH. I was very sad to see her move to another state. I felt I had a very easy time talking to her and she is very down to earth.

I love having her as my PCP- she cares and so does her staff. I like coming to this office and would recommend it to others.

I only saw Dr. Rivera twice. She seemed fine, but recommended basic labs be done and the only way to get them done is trough LabCorp or Quest. I tried both places and they are an absolute nightmare...the people were late to open, unfriendly and the wait was over an hour. I called back to see if I could have the blood drawn at her office and it's not an option...if there is no better care for a patient over a small thing like this, what happens if I really do become ill....do I get treated like cattle then too...no options, no concern for my comfort level??? Looking for a dr. who cares.

Besides a typical lengthy wait at times for appointments - which seem to happen for all doctors I see, I have absolutely no complaints for Dr. Rivera. She is astute and personable - a wonderful combination for a family doctor. I do not hesitate to recommend her to people looking for a new doctor.
