Dr. Joanna M Brochu, DO

I wanted to make sure a positive voice was heard on behalf of Dr. Brochu. We live in a world where negative voices scream the loudest while the positive experiences go undocumented. Shame on the positive reports. We need to be more diligent to post our appreciation to the medical professionals in an industry that are judged so harshly. From day one of my father's admission, Dr. Brochu was a blessing and a God send to our family. Daily updates of test results and patient plan were explained with professionalism and care. Her smile and kindness shown to my 88-year old father and our family was unmatched. We left each day with confidence and peace of mind because of her commitment to detail. Never rushed at the bedside even though she had a caseload of rounds to complete. Our sincere gratitude to Dr. Brochu and for her ability to orchestrate all the specialty physician's reports and manage all those pieces of the puzzle. Our family thanks you and consider ourselves… blessed to have been under her care!

Dr. Brochu is the utmost professional, highly knowledgeable and kind doctor. We will never forget her guidance, support and kindness she gave our Dad (and us) in the most difficult time of our lives. Our experience with Dr. Brochur will never be forgotten. She is the type of Doctor you wished you had and should have treating you!

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was hospitalized and Dr Brochu was assigned as my hospitilist. I don't think she ever really understood my reason for being admitted. I have celiac disease and was having severe left side colon pain. I had been so sick I had become dehydrated. That was dangerous but that seemed to be all she focused on. When admitted, I needed a special diet that would be gluten free, she never had a dietician come talk to me or address my colon and celiac disease at all. Once my vomiting stopped she was insisting I could go home even though I had still not received all the IV medication I was taking per my GI specialist. Her bedside manner was curt, showed little compassion or concern, and actually laughed and said I wasn't making sense about what was wrong with me. Her visits lasted no longer than 5 minutes. Her write up on my chart was inaccurate most of the time. My overall feeling is she didn't understand this condition something that I… have lived with for several years now, and didn't bother to care to find out. I would never recommend her even for a cold.
