Dr. Joanne Carol Imperial, MD

Dr. Imperial is the best Hepatologist that I've known. She is knowledgeable, caring, and go out of her way to get things done for patients. I am satisfying with her work up and compassion in her hepatitis treatment. What else can you ask for in a physician?

I am currently under the care of Dr. Joanne Imperial for liver problem. She is very compassionate and very knowledgeble on liver diseases.She is on top of what I need help with to ensure my early recovery. Very thorough. To go to a County hospital which a lot of people can probably relate to, is sometimes traumatic and time consuming. But you have to realize this is a County clinic or hospital. I had a private health insurance when I was working for some company, but somehow they failed to diagnosed my problem which has been onset and already giving me problem. Thank goodness I was laid off work. I have to go back to the County for check up. To me I have my primary doctor and Dr. Imperial together in one place and I feel blessed. They saved my life and still working on it. Since I had retired and had acquired a new medical coverage, I decided to stay with Dr. Imperial to be my ally to fight my liver problem. God bless her.

After seven years of waiting on the liver transplant list at Stanford Medical Center, (after being told over and over when the time is right you will get a transplant) Dr. Imperial still managed to be cold, uncaring, indifferent and untruthful. Her care for my husband was ineffective. We caught her is several lies. As a result of her lack of care, my husband developed cancer. She and the other heps at Stanford dropped him like a lead balloon.(Aijaz Ahmed is the only one I trust there.) If you are in need of care for liver disease, I would say, go to ANY facility other than Stanford. I can't state is loudly enough.
