Dr. Joanne Terese Piscitelli, MD

May be knowledgeable, but she is the worst. I was warned. .next time I'll take heed.

This was the worst experience with a doctor that I have ever had. Coming from another state and hearing how great Duke was I had high expectations for the care I would receive. I agree with the past review; She appeared disinterested in what I was saying and just tried to give me a quick fix without a follow up visit to follow up to see if it worked, very poor bed side manner, and spent little time with me. I felt like a number instead of a person.

If you are looking for a doctor who is smart, caring and highly knowledgable in the field of gynocology, Dr. Piscitelli is the doctor for you. In regards to another review that was recently posted saying she has poor bedside manor - Dr. Piscitelli is professional and to the point with answering questions and concerns. Which for me is the type of relationship with a doctor that I appreciate.

As a Duke employee and having had appointments with Dr. Piscitelli's partners I had higher expectations for my experience with her. Unfortunately, she demonstrated poor bedside manner. She was obviously disinterested in answering my questions and caused me to feel as though I was inconveniencing her throughout my interaction with her, which was brief as she was literally half way out of the door within a few minutes. I do believe her clinical knowledge and skill are above average, but that is not sufficient in a consumer-diven healthcare market.
