Dr. Joaquin Martinez-Arraras Caro, MD

Wait time: 3 to 4 hours Staff: Rude I cancelled the appointment after waiting for 3 hours. Why should my husband sit in the heat for 3 hours since you won't let him come in because of COVID. I let them know I will be finding another cardiologist. My gosh I could drive to Lubbock in 2 hours to see someone or Dallas in 4 hours. Anyway I had terminated my physician/patient and asked for my money back. 2 days later I received a Certified Letter from Dr. Martinez that I have been terminated as a patient and will not be allowed to see ANY doctors at The Amarillo Heart Group. I guess they think they are the gods of cardiology LOL I terminated them to begin with. So I will be calling my insurance company to discuss the above mentioned and who I want as my cardiologist. Stay away from here. You will get in within an hour at first and then a year in it starts going DOWNHILL.

Dr. Martinez was highly recommended to me by several physician friends. Their recommendations were entirely correct. Dr. Martinez has treated me for several years and has worked with other physicians to treat my complex medical issue. He is a great listener and will take time to explain why or if intervention is needed. He will also tell you what changes you need to make to live a healthy life and will monitor your progress.

Dr. Martinez is an excellent cardiologist. He cares about his patients and spends the time necessary to research and explain in layman terms medical issues and the appropriate resolutions. I appreciate his commitment to his profession.
