Jobe Metts

Around 9 years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was Dr. Metts that gave me the diagnosis. He gave me all of the information I needed concerning the treatment options. One question that I asked him and the answer that he gave me is likely the reason that I am living and well today. I admit that I did not have my surgery done by Dr. Metts but this was because he did not do the procedure robotically. I had a friend that recently had prostate surgery done that way and got along well. After having my surgery, that Dr. did not want for me to leave his care. His rudeness to me cost him. I sent a letter to Dr. Metts and asked him if he would continue taking care of me. He was very kind and gracious to me in his reply. He took care of me for six or seven years and after that on one visit, he told me I could discontinue seeing him because I was cancer free. He told me he would be glad to see me for any other issues of his specialty. We were and are still friends. He is a… great doctor!!!

I've been seeing Dr. J. Metts for 3 years. He cares about his patients. A first class doctor.

Excellent bed side manner; really listens to patients and family members. Takes time to answer ALL questions, no matter how "silly" they might be. Can't give this doctor enough praise for what he has done to correct the wrong done by another horrible urologist from Rex Hospital.
